I’m not done watching this interview. I think I have to watch in small bites, in part to make it bearable. I’m not offended that NJ conducted this interview. I want to hope that this young man wants and seeks redemption. HE WENT TO SCHOOL the day after a horrific act of violence resulting in a man’s death, and devastated that man’s family. This says more about the state of our community than the fact that he got interviewed about it. I applaud his mom and his dad for not accepting or condoning his desire to join a gang. It isn’t as easy as it looks folks: my son was solidly middle class, raised in a “good” neighborhood, loved by family, and treated special, yet the allure of belonging was enticing to him, too. Thankfully he was able to be saved from that lifestyle. I pray that a young person watches this and sees it as the pity that it is. Don’t blame Adam, Riemoh, or NJ. Let’s look at US.
