Thanks for this, I just bought one of these in an effort to kill my smart phone addiction. Apparently deleting all my social media accounts and disabling distracting apps doesn’t work. And I’m tired of scrolling on this god forsaken thing and losing hours of my life to this bright abyss of numbing media. I wish I had more self control, but I’m hopeful that no longer having a smart phone will help me.

No it doesn't work. I have the same lack of self-restraint but this phone help me a lot. Sadly I have to have a smartphone also, but I'm using 105 most of the time :)

I did the exact same thing as you guys, for the exact same reasons. How is it going for you guys? How did that journey go, or how is it still going? Edit: Just bought it yesterday and today I'm going on a trip so I need my smartphone for GPS. I'm going to start using the nokia tomorrow, but I'll still be using the smartphone for ONLY when I NEED GPS for long trips and when I go shopping because I don't find it safe to use my debit card. Other then that it'll be locked away, for my own good

I'm not against anybody who's bought this mobile. Glad I've haven't. I bought the 130 better and has micro extension were you can store photos, ext. That mobile is OK if you want a basic mobile to use for every day use. But its down to you,what you think of the mobile. This is just my opinion 😊

This looks suspiciously like it's merely a re-shell of a Nokia phone I bought around 2014. It was alright, but I rely on the loudspeaker a lot for calls, and it was very distorted and hard to discern what people were saying. I hope this model's speaker has been upgraded. I used to use smartphone features a lot, back in the late 00's to mid 10's, but find that I only really use a mobile for calls these days. But after having used a simple Nokia as my main phone for quite a while, I found that I prefer to have a cheap smartphone, rather than a basic call and text one, just because it's reassuring to know that I have internet access if I need it. There's always the occasional situation where you may need to urgently get directions, public transport information, check an email, all manner of things like that. And although I'm only on a £3 a month unlimited talk and text package, I keep more than enough credit on it to be able to use data on a pay as you go basis. And this is where I think that basic phones need to adapt. The Nokia 105 currently costs £22. But my smartphone was only marginally dearer at £30. And it's good in every way, it's not shoddy. At only £7 more, it blows the Nokia out of the water. I'd rather use a smartphone in a basic way, and have the reassurance of the extra features to be there if ever needed. Basic phones of today have got to start having an acceptable baseline internet browser, at minimum. Keep it simple, for those who are not tech savvy, but do include it. It's an online world, now. It's a worry to not have internet access for emergencies.

You can hold '#' in the home screen to turn on slient profile. You can also make a custom profile in 'Settings' > 'Profiles' > 'My style' > 'Personalise' if you want.

I wouldn't say it's "tough" but you can order protective cases for it online just in case like I did. But unfortunately, I couldn't find cases without any pictures on the back of the case, unless your children like the pictures, so it's a win-win.

Dropped mine a few times and it works my only gripe is the screen gets scratched kind of easy but it is well protected from damage not like these smart phones where the slightest drop and the screen is cracked

i’m looking to get the 2019 version i’m seeing mixed answers but i have a three sim (only compatible with 3g and upwards phones) i know the 2017 model is only 2G supported but does the 2019 model support 3G?
