It sounds like the orientation sensor has become faulty, I'm not sure where its mounted but with enough Googling you should be able to find a service manual that shows where its mounted. Finding the part and having it fitted is more of a challenge

Thanks for this tutorial, my phone turn off when I use SIM card, it works smoothly without sim card, I Disassembly & Assembly using this video but the result is the same, by software side I re-installed the firmware and also used other but nothing works also I tried with other SIMs. I think that the problem is in hardware side, which part do you suggest to replace, thanks again.

What could be problem if no physical buttons work? only turn on/off button works, but buttons on sides and main call/decline menu button doesnt work??

it might be water damage, you could try replacing the midframe shown at 7:26

at 6:14 you press the chip into place on the digitizer. is this crucial for the part to work? my chip keeps coming off the frame after i reassemble it and i do not know if that is the reason i lose touchscreen functionality. it works for about an hour after reassembly and then stops. is there an adhesive i should use (super glue? crazy glue?)?

it shouldn't make any difference to the performance if its stuck or not. Try using some fresh double sided tape. If it still stops after an hour it would suggest its a faulty new digitizer

Starting from last week my Nokia 701's autorotation stops working most of the time (sometimes it doesn't work at all), I tried everything possible on software side (re-installation, flashing, changing settings, using 3rd party applications for rotation) despite all this it still not working. After it stopped working, suddenly it started to work for one day and as the end of the evening it stopped working again. May I know what causing all these ? Nokia 701 RM-774 059H218 (changed from 059H225)

Excellent video. But WARNING - removing the screen digitiser is not easy like the video shows! It's actually difficult. The extremely delicate ribbon cable is easily snapped when the digitiser is manipulated to release it. Then you will need a new digitiser all because of a tiny fragile ribbon connector...

I found a Level 1&2 Service manual but it does not specifies anything about this chip. But I think it is the one near the battery terminals (can be seen at 16.58 sec of your video between screw driver and terminals) goo.gl /yWmwJL Can you confirm is it the right one ?
