Excellent review. I’ve had my eyes on this phone as an upgrade for a while now. With the steep price drop now and the deals to be had, it’s a really good buy. The specs, the design, the stock Android experience (Android One is a big selling point to me, no useless bloatware) the built quality and all the other features make it a pretty compelling device. I’m sure there are always other options, but all in all this one seems like the best all around choice. Besides, every other competing device will have its pluses and minuses as well, just like the Nokia 8.3.

@@MrAgostinho501 That may be your experience. In roughly the same time span, I didn’t experience any of those issues. I found it to be a steady, reliable, practical device that pretty much fulfilled all of my daily needs and uses as a consumer. On the other hand I have friends that bought much more expensive flagship devices from a variety of other brands, who have had both hardware and software issues and problems. As I’ve said we all have different experiences with our individual units. No maker, brand or device at any price point, entry/budget, midrange or flagship will ever be one hundred percent issue free or outright perfect.

Own it since last Friday, found a good deal on Amazon and bought it from their warehouse. Amazing phone, insanely big screen, its such a pleassure to read/watch smth on it. It has very strong connectivity, antenna quality is great, I can be in a no reach zone for previous phone but still be able to make calls/browse the web on this one. Battery lasted from Sunday to Thursday, previously owned iPHone 7/8, i bougth both of them used for less than i paid for nokia and they had terrible connectivity, I had no service in many places, battery only lasted a day or less with everything turned off to save it, screen was too small. I've also liked a wide angle camera on nokia, quality is good enough for me.. And the last think i forgot to mention is 5G, I reached 190mbps in some areas, its next gen level phone i must say. Android 11 is very similar to iOS, its very simple, feels light and so far I've had 0 lag. Gaming performance is great, tried pubg/vice city/max payne, all maxed out - high fps, no dips. Pleassure to game on it, previously didn't game on a phone due to small screen, was too difficult and not enjoyable on 4.7 inch.

Thanks for your professional review abdullah, i'd like to know if the battery Performance dropped after 3 months of use due to your intensive usage generally, bad quality of the battery or the use of 5G network in case of availability ?? I'd like to inform that battery Performance and life time is a main factor for me so appreciate your feedback for me before buying this phone noting that I'm never playing any game on the phone also I still don't have 5G Network in my country.
@AbdullaZaki4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ahmed, Its a combination of more intensive usage (I'm using hotspot for around 3 hours every day) and 5G being more widely available. Its hard to know about the quality of the battery but that hasn't been an issue with many of the other Nokia's I've used. I would say if you only have 4G and don't use hotspot (which makes the device get warm which affects the life of the battery in general) you should be easily getting at least one day of usage on this phone.

So my only worries about this great phone is: not having 120/90 hz amoled screen, not having snapdragon 800+ (will it decrease the performance) and at last.. About the high weight and thickness of the phone (which is so heavy) A reply for these 3 doubt would be nice😊
@AbdullaZaki3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't worry about the LCD display on this. Its a very nice one with punchy colors. Not as saturated as an OLED but very nice. If you're not coming from a higher refresh rate device, you won't care. If you are, it will be a step back. The processor handles almost all tasks with ease. Unless you play very heavy duty games on maximum graphical settings, you will notice much of a difference. The weight and thickness is definitely not for everyone, but every time I personally upgraded to a bigger device, I got used to it within about a week or so of usage. The weight also makes the device feel quite expensive. But if you heavily rely on using the phone one handed, then you'll have to readjust your usage.

Hi, thanks! A launcher is an installable new "Skin" that replaces your stock homescreen and apps drawer experience, and can be customized with different fonts, icon shapes, layouts, and so on. You don't have to use it but it gives you a nice way to customize how your phone looks. I personally use the microsoft launcher with the meeye icon pack. well, actually Nokia wanted to make sure there were no bug in the software. Nokia could have launched an update sooner, but Android 11 was for some reason still very buggy a few months after release date on a few devices. And yes, The update came around the same time as Samsung's one
@AbdullaZaki4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tomas, Yes, but for me personally I would rather wait and get a stable update than get the update early and deal with many bugs. The update on the 8.3 so far seems quite solid, but the improvements are so small.

@@AbdullaZaki in fact I have had a few issues: apps randomly closing itself(kinda like the camera bug but I've never had that before), and also the fact that there is now only one way to make a screenshot: by swiping up to apps and then selecting the tab to make a screenshot of, which is very annoying, U can only make a screenshot of one app and not of the home screen or Ur messages, idk it's a bit limiting freedom in my eyes👀. I have also a feeling more RAM is occupied by Android 11 in comparison to 10 and the on/off switch is not optimally. But: good things: home screen smoothness when swiping up and down, u don't screenshot the upper layer of your phone with message icons, and you can put more of an order in the messages you receive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@AbdullaZaki4 жыл бұрын
@@alex.anders hi Alex, I haven't had the issues you mentioned on my unit. You can still take screenshots by pressing on the lock and volume down buttons. Sometimes it might be better to update after a soft reset. Updates are always very finicky sadly.

Hi Fahmi, I understand your frustration as I'm also in the same boat. I've been happy with the Nokia 8.3 though but its definitely not flagship in every aspect. I think HMD realizes that its hard to compete against flagships when you don't have the same marketing and R&D budget, so they want to focus on midrange phones. I still hope we see a flagship from them sometime soon.
