An absolute helpful video! Nokia is and will be doing great. They have finally taken right moves. Recently I've been using the recent Nokia devices and they are quite promising. Not saying that Nokia is back and I don't expect them to be like what they used to be BUT I really like to use a phone which Nokia's brand is on it. I don't know why but I really enjoy it. I genuinely like Nokia!

They need a flagship phone. They need to stand out in the crowd and right now they are only doing that with their feature phones, which either don't work everywhere, or are locked to a carrier, or have a dumb 5MP camera. Nokia doesn't understand the market.

I have a problem in cinema mode why its not saved any cinema mode capture videos??? I had try lots of time to take cinema video but it's not saved any vedio.

Nice review as always. But the thing with hmd Nokia's phone is camera performance/quality becomes worse as you update your Android os. Also, camera app is a system app and should there be any issue it might be fixed in next month update or never fixed at all.

Great video Josh, but I wonder if it's really worth getting this considering the LG V60 exists for cheaper at this point than this ... LG first introduced all the feature sets you just mentioned here on the V30 literally 3 years ago now, so I was expecting more out of the Nokia. I think the controls and design of the V60's camera feature set has evolved to be far more comprehensive and useful than the Nokia's who is playing catch up with LG

Yup, he is probably calling it as it has the 765g in it which is supposedly the 'mid range ' chip. Terrible value tho. They could have easily used the 855+/855 instead of the 765g as nobody cares about 5g for now. Would have been a compelling phone at least.

Yes, that is what I use mine for. I have the GSM global 8.3 5G variant here in the USA. I use it on T-Mobile. The version Jousha use in this video is the Verizon variant with less ram 6 gb to 8.gb for the 8.3 and 64 gb of storage compared to 128 gb of storage on the 8.3. The cameras are identical. Unless you are on Verizon...I would go for the 8.3 5G unlocked GSM global version. Also...the global version has a Polar night blue color of the Northern lights of Finland.

@@raniquepowell6413 Check with your local carrier. If you don't have Verizon...stay away from the version in this video. The Nokia 8.3 5G is the international version with GSM network. It will work on any GSM carrier. Also, Nokia updates the Unlocked variant. Although...slower than Google and Apple and Samsung. I am on Android 12 with June 2022 security patch. Not sure about the Verizon variant

Macro lens are mostly for close ups & text. Not really useful for zooming in. This camera looks really good. Well done Nokia. [I've recently bought a Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro. Amazing camera!]

Not the Verizon version in this video. The unlocked variant is the Nokia 8.3 5G GSM global variant. Cameras are identical... global version has more ram, more storage and better color. I have the global version on T-Mobile

Well said. I've been waiting for a flagship Nokia and it never came. They have about 20 different cheap models but no one model does it all. For example, their most powerful phone is the 8 V but their most durable phone is the XR20. That's like Mercedes put out two new models, one is a convertible with a basic engine, and the other one is a turbo charged V8 that is only available as a metal top. Who in their right mind does this? Needless to say, I bought an iPhone. I really wanted a Nokia but they are, like you said, going to be the next LG.
