I have a buddy that works for Nokta, and he's been asking me for some time to try the Legend. I finally said yes, and I'm glad I did. I've tried so many detectors over the years that I've been numb to new machines. I'm simple. I find a machine I like and usually stick with it for a while. It didn't take me long for this machine to impress me. This video is just me testing the machine out for the first time. I brought it to a very hunted out field that we call the Gold Coin field for good reasons. A Tavern used to sit where the iron patch is now. This place has been god to us, but lately we've found very little here. I wanted to give this machine a true test. Long story short. It passed my test, and you will be seeing it a lot more on the channel!!

Hey Kurt Congrats on the Copper and Buttons you found on a place you've hit so hard on. I've been doing that at some spots I hit really hard with the Equinox 700. I've used 4 different Detectors in these areas and the Equinox has found Coins and Relics the others have missed. I do have the Legend. This machine has flustered me even with all the success I've watched with other Detecorist. Watching you I'll give it another chance. Take Care

I enjoyed your review on the Nokta Legend!! I won mine in a "Detecting the Heartland" Facebook raffle. First time out I found 4 rings in a baseball field near my home. One was a 14K Opal ring. And the ability to collapse it to 15" is a game changer, as well. It's going to the DTH hunt this Spring of 2024!! Along with my Manticore!! The Legend is the real deal, in my opinion!!

Kurt...awesome review/hunt in the pounded gold field! Any comment on AT Pro vs. Legend, recently got back into detecting, got an Ace 400. Would the AT Pro find a lil deeper coins than the 400 (prob around 80 ace park, used for county fair since 1870's, I have full access). I'm thinking AT Pro would get those deeper coins that are maybe at least a couple inches deeper? Oldest coin found this far 1902 IHP....gotta be older/deeper coins....thoughts please🙂

I've been watching people metal detect for years here on KZbin and finally purchased my first last fall. It was the Nokta Makro simplex+. Love the sounds, it was easy to figure out with many options, and the price for a completely waterproof machine couldn't be beat. I'm sure that new top of the line detector from Nokta Makro is a dream.

I have enjoyed my Legend. It has just enough settings and oddities about it that keep you interested. I have an Equinox 800 and the Legend is telling me things differently than the Nox did. That is a good thing, it's really amazing how different detectors see what is in the same ground/ same spot.

I have been using it for about a week. The pad does light up and there is a setting for that. I told myself that I would try it and then go right back to my old detector but I compared them and I was finding targets that my old detector just was not finding. Like Kurt said the iron signals are soft sounding unless it's really big. I have not dug a nail as of yet.
@jeanponce2017
@jeanponce2017 11 ай бұрын
Wait until you see it work around all the iron in those salt water bays and brackish water creeks. She's much quieter around the black sand and the rusty iron pieces in the old waterways and it's not a leaker like a certain other detector are. That might be where you'll like it better especially if you play with it over the winter to get the feel of the settings.

8:28 Woody's hat, from Toy Story 😎 14:25 Thought ya had some steak and bacon in that bucket. 😆 I always thought it'd be great as a detectorist, being friends with Magneto. Imagine bringing him out to any field, and he could just suck out every last bit of iron, unmasking everything in seconds. I guess the fact that he's fictional, could be a problem. 🤣

Two things, first, have you or someone else used a CTX3030 at the field? Second, can you and Muck bring the Nokta and the 900 or 800 , and your Garrett, swing until you find something with the Nokta, then with out digging the target try the other two machines. Then alternate machines for awhile. I find it odd you didn't find nails, I don't know if that's good or bad. I'll bring my V3i , 800 and CTX to sights to see which works best.

Awesome video mate. I've been researching metal detectors and was about to buy an Equinox 800, when I came across a discussion about it compared to the Nokta. Seemed that the consensus was that the latter edged out the former, in particular they considered the build better. For one thing, apparently the Nox is not quite as waterproof as the Legend, and they also mentioned the discomfort that can occur when swinging it for a long time. Did some hunting around and came across a great deal on the Legend pro-pack, AUD$1,249, free delivery and a bonus Accupoint Pinpointer, AUD$249 value. The best price I could get on the Nox here was AUD$990 pick-up. Considering the fact that I'm getting two coils, as well as a better build quality and higher degree of comfort, an extra AUD$10 is a no brainer in my book. While waiting for it to arrive, I'm watching videos like yours to learn all I can. I'm utterly new to this field. My reason for getting into it is in preparation for a self-funded archeological survey overseas next year. For that I'll be using a two-box detector but I figured using a multi-range detector would be a good way to develop my skills. So, thanks for such an entertaining and insightful video. Learned a lot and appreciate your easy to listen to delivery style. Looking forward to my first hunt next weekend. By the way, was that a scratch I saw on the Legend screen? Something they mentioned on the forum was that its screen seems to have been made of the softest plastic known to man...grin. The advice on the forums is to put on a screen protector before you let it get out the door. Having seen what may will be a scratch on your brand new machine, you can be sure I'll be following that advice. Liked and subscribed. May you drown in buttons and coppers.

The Legend will surprise you. Mine has surprised me vs Equinox 800 and how it sees things differently. The audio with the Legend is what I like most. It's not the flute music of the Minelabs. Not to say I dislike the Equinox, but the Legend has found me things the Equinox ran over before and didn't alert to it being good.

Hard to make a review with one time out. "Iron audio" You had that with the Garrett, Audio Modulation is on many machines as options, Turn it on or off. I did notice "Mixed" audio tones. Which it couldn't make up it's mind on. Don't know if you could select how many tones the detector used? "Recovery speed" May have to work on that some. That field will produce every year after it's been plowed and harvested.

Iron falsing in farm fields is one of my biggest annoyances. Any machine that minimizes that while still giving reasonable performance would be awesome. Is iron falsing just a product of sensitivity, or do some machines handle it better than others?

I would love to have that machine but I’m a very poor old man 70 years old and would love to have it but I’m afraid that is all I will ever do is want it. Just wish and dream. Oh well just dream. Thanks for all your wonderful videos.

please dont stop using the Equinox. Minelab would never give crisp repeatable tones for iron.

Is that killer park in Baltimore from a few years back still not allowing detecting? Ya'll tore it up there the time or two you went. May be worth checking on to see if any rules have changed

That Tavern field was for sure your best hunt I found something similar to that but it was a old amusement park they dredged over a hundred yards of sand and placed it into a pile not quite as old as your site but it was loaded with hundreds of silver coins and there was so much silver ring s and gold rings the amusement park ran from 1890 until 2022 and there were a ton of old bottles Al’s there was so many coins they were falling out of the dump truck you see there was a huge lake also there with several huge motels once in a life find for sure over a hundred Morgan dollar s alone

Did it chirp when you put your pinpointer on or did you silence the legend before hand ? I have the simplex which will have interference w/ your pinpointer if not silenced prior to using pp.
