This is a good example of why the LG24 coil is a great compromise between the LG30 and LG15 for separation. I run the LG24 on my Legend 99% of the time and love it for trashy sites. Went to one yesterday that was loaded with pulltabs and still found some coins in the middle of that garbage. The Legend is a great detector at a great price.

I've got Legend with LG30, and LG24 is on the way. For me, this detector is top of the top. After update to 1.15 will be my number one for long time.

thanks for this we need some one to 3d print a design like this then we could make it a standar test product ofc the items you stick on will be diffrent but the principle will be the same like you say the coil plays a big part when people say a 9" coil cuts thru better than a 13" coil its a strange one as if the ground is more littred tight round the target the 13" coil will probably do better than a 9" coil but if the junk is little a little wider round the target the 9" would do better and the 13" would be worse its allmost like inverted controlls feels weird to think about it that way but its kinda how it works

Very good approach! Could you please explain why you change IF, ST and how they interact? I have always assumed the lower the IF, potentially a higher ST is needed. I have always used and IF of 3-4 and usually a ST of 5. How should the two be adjusted together? Thank you.

St is really there to fine tune the if to the water content of the ground, so say you run a 3if 1st , and okay with it then there’s a downpour , you can increase st without having to increase a full step to 4, therefore finer tuning and not costing you much performance loss in unmasking

Would love to see a beach mode test wet and dry using v 1.15. I have issues with it in water. Constantly getting 10 on VDI. I tried lowering sensitivity still the same. The beast mode works very well on dry sand and deep

sounds like you need to do a ground balance also try messing with stabilty and ground surpressor
