Interesting test. I have the pulse dive but it has noticeably more depth than yours for some reason. I don't use the cover because I think you lose depth with the cover as I have some black tape wrapped around it for protection which works well. One thing about the pulse dive is it really hates aluminum foil and doesn't pick it up well at all because it's pulse induction.

Yes. You are right.👍

Nice comparison ! One other test that would be interesting is to see how far off to the side of the pinpointer tip will it detect an item. As pinpointers go I would think less would be better. My MX SPORT and White’s pinpointer don’t play nice close together either.

Thank you she detector for the comparison, I think the Bluetooth is the major difference. Anyway great video thanks again.

Interesting comparison. Not the results I expected. I bought the pulse dive with only the coil for underwater metal detecting either snorkeling or shallow diving. I later bought the pinpointer tip. I didn't see an option to buy it with both at the time. I did see a noticeable difference in depth between a full charge and a half or lower charge. I don't remember you mentioning if they were both freshly charged.

I’m not sure where you get that the Excalibur two is “ regular” meaning VLF it is absolutely a pulse induction machine , also that test where you tried to show it not playing well with didn’t demonstrate that VLF ones always cause a machine to go nuts only half the time does my 600 need to frequency shift when I turn on my pulse dive to pinpoint, I don’t think more than 2” is ideal anyways with a pinpointer if you get beyond that you risk it falsing on iron or something else junk in ground .

The one thing I don't like about the pulse dive is that if you accidentally twist the coil and it unlocks, it will flood with water. I've had one do it to me already and it wasn't covered.

strewth! I use an original Garret black pinpointer. my detector finds the target I dig then try to pinpoint it. if it doesn't react I know I can remove at least two more inches of soil/I have to use a pick. I don't want it to pick it up 6inches down. I am smart enough to know that it is not a digging tool. if it is 10 meters under water then it would be very lonely. My wife uses it. it always comes back on vibrate not sure why.
