Nolan N-Com B902 bluetooth headset review

The Nolan N-Com B902 is utterly magnificent. Such high quality audio, has an FM-Radio built in and even works perfectly with Google voice directions for Android Driving Mode.

A good tip for you is that the clip for the microphone is adjustable and n-com recommends that you adjust the length of the mic boom so that it sits on the side of your mouth for better transmissions. This also gets the mic out of the way of the face shield when you open/close it so that you don't have to raise the visor and adjust it. You do not need to take off the main gasket that is held in place with the screw to do this adjustment. Remove the right cheek padding and the rear padding and you will have access to the clip and mic wire by lifting up on the plastic inner cover near the right headphone that is secured by the little extensions on the main gasket. There is room to remove the clip from its seat by lifting and rolling the top of it towards the inside of the helmet. My mic is about three inches exposed from tip of boom to where it enters the helmet.

I just got mine yesterday. I can’t wait to road test it over the weekend. So far, the speakers are way above the direct plug-in to Harley kit I had in there.

Just bought one and it’s on its way… we’ll see how it goes! Glad to see you think it’s good. I actually bought it over the B602r for the Auto Sleep/On/Off function because I can’t be bothered remembering to turn it off every time I stop etc.

Yeah it's really good. I think I will turn down the sensitivity on the brake light too as it does flash a lot when I'm riding.

This thing looks awesome. I used a cardo q3 and it was not cheap. The audio mutitasking is probably so you can have intercom with your music still playing with the cardo you could have either music or intercom and would have to press to switch between the 2 this would probably allow you pillion just to speak. vox sucks on the cardo many things set it off killing my music however with a boom mike this should be more accurate and will be useful. i like the button size on this unit and the battery is huge. In a cardo the battery is 320mah this is 1000mah. I used to turn mine on and off all the time the deep sleep big battery and deep socket allowing a powerbank use is just awesome probably the best on the market.

Thanks for that info, I was curious about the Cardo stuff. I suppose any system that's not designed for a specific helmet is a compromise.

Cheers mate - I've been buying these huge 200 pair packs of "Howard Leight Laser Lite uncorded" ear plugs for years. I re-use them a little and switch out for a new pair when I feel they are getting dirty.

I bought the 902x for my X-lite helmet. It doesn’t come with the stop light feature. The software is awful, the sound quality is awful, very tinny and too quiet, it uses an unique old style mini-usb connection and it just doesn’t work as well as a Cardo Freecom 2x for what is double the price. The only good thing about it is the integration with the helmet. If I hadn’t wasted north of £200 on it I would have ground out the ear cups on the helmet and installed another Cardo.

I honestly don't know - it's never gone flat before I plugged it in and I've never had a low charge warning.
