The 2021 revisionist history is insane. Jordan Travis started game 1 against Notre Dame not Mckenzie Milton. They pulled JT after 3 picks. He was ABYSMAL in that game. If JT plays well he's the starter against Jax State and Wake. Jordan didn't have but ONE good game that season and that was when we edged BC. What we're not gonna do is pretend that JT in 2021 was anywhere near who he was in the end of 2022. Milton or Travis it didn't matter. Both were terrible.

Can't upvote this enough. I'm so sick of the "Norvell only won because of JT" narrative. Travis was a glorified RB when Norvell got here in 2020. He developed well before the 2021 season (the first chance Norvell and Dilly really had), but EVERYONE was onboard with bringing in a transfer to compete, and EVERYONE was onboard with starting Milton after his performance in the Notre Dame game.

As a cane fan, one thing i will say about Mario is he's great at letting coaches go when they're not up to his standard. whether we're winning or losing and I think thats one of the hardest things HC don't do is letting coaches go if their not up to the standard. I think after the 13-0 season, norvell should've seen hey Shannon ain't cutting it, Odell aint cutting it, Atkins why hasn't the O line improved at all, TE coach ? It's usually always the downfall of loyal coaches. That is just my take. I think Brock glenn gives the offense a chance to win over DJU.

One point i would like to make about what Kevin said regarding the definition of insanity. Doing something twice shouldnt be used to illustrate that idea or you will only ever do something once. Yes they have made a mistake twice with a veteran qb, if they do it a third time i am with you on that point, but twice isnt enough of a sample size to go there. I am.frustrated that they didnt move to Glenn sooner but i will give them one more chance to get it right. If we get to place where one mistake is all you get i think you are going to have an even worse coaching staff and a bad roster, who would want to play or coach in those conditions? For what it is worth i do think you can draw the insanity conclusion on some of the play calling as we keep.doing things that fail and that is very frustrating.

I think The reason why this team is too inconsistent especially the offense is because Norvell is inconsistent. He literally went with a completely different playing style QB out the portal after going 13-0 with a QB that almost got you to the promised land. He doesn’t wanna stick with whats working. And it shows on the field. My biggest concern is we have the BEST KICKER in the COUNTRY. And we are not takin advantage of him every time we in the red zone. I think we got enamored with guys from big programs wanting to come here. That's one of the biggest mistakes imo - none of our transfers outside of Jermaine and Benson came from programs that historically are on the level of FSU. We need to improve HS recruiting and get back to finding the DAWGS from smaller schools who have something to prove and arent chasing the bag.

This game was on the OL and the WRs. The OL was really bad. WRs can't catch and don't know the plays or the routes. DJU does not need to see the field again. The end of the season the whole staff needs to turn over. I know they want fire Mike, but the rest need to go. The OL is out of shape.

Defense is a problem & yeah they played good in the red zone but the communication is still terrible. Fuller has had one good season at FSU & that was last year. Fuller is vanilla. Has no creative blitz packages. Misuse of personal leaving certain players out on the field in 3rd & long when there’s no reason for them to be out there. Bottom line this defense isn’t up to the FSU standard. Offensively Mike is stubborn. He refuses to play call like he did in 2022. Offensive line is terrible & only gotten worse since 2022. Atkins needs to go & if Mike continues to be stubborn on play calls he needs to bring in an OC

Can't blame the quarterback when the running backs had about 29 yards on 16 attempts. And it wasn't the running backs fault either. FSU was averaging in the 1's in yards per carry and I think it was zero yards per carry all the way up to the third quarter. And Clemson has given up at least 4.73 ypc in every game this season. Stanford had 236 rushing yards against Clemson. NC State had 157 rushing yards against them. App State had 149 rushing yards. Those three teams are not good. That's a big problem, a much bigger problem than the quarterback situation. May as well go air raid.
