I've muddled my way through creating coasters and building supports. But I lacked the knowledge to really finesse things. Plenty of tutorials out there cover the basics, but NONE cover the ideas of really finessing the layout and forces the way you do. Like you said in the beginning you love the details and it's those small details that end up really selling a coaster as realistic. So I'll be watching this several times more and any others you do. Subscribed. Hope to see many more of your tutorials.

I like how you're a stickler on making sure it's smooth!!! It makes a big difference on "rideability" of the coaster. Yes people I know this is a sim style game but the facts are the facts ridin' on rails should be just that smooth as a bee's ass,and nothing that will separate your cranium from your body right 👍👍👍🤘

Im not entirely sure if I remember lol but I think the supports will show up after you go into wooden support generator > generate Final and the catwalks should be there. I think it only shows up if you already turned on the catwalks in the lift hill/brakes style settings. Again, not sure if im right but I think so.

Is there a way to hide segments of unfreeze track, it becomes nearly impossible to continue after the track overlap it's self on all the views
@cartcody9 ай бұрын
Unfortunately no, but I recommend going top view and draw out the overhead view of the overlapping part then go to perspective and click one node at a time and hit page up or page down to raise and lower the nodes and you can see the clearance real time! Hope this helps!

I’m making my first coaster and on one of the hills it says it will be -1.1 gs but in the game it speeds over that hill so fast that there is no way it only pulls -1.1 gs I don’t know what’s happening any advice on how to fix it?
@cartcody2 жыл бұрын
If it reads as -1.1g then it’s -1.1g lol, if you feel the pacing is to fast for that part regardless of forces given, you can make the hill taller or you can widen the hill out more. The thing is to try and keep the negative forces consistent and not jittery across it, but the forces given are the forces it is lol! But the forces are different in each row. Also keep in mind the forces are all based on the middle of the train, not front or back. So in the front of back it could possibly be more than -1.1g but like I say in my tutorial throughout, it’s all about adjusting 😁 hope I was able to help!

I also have a question. How do you make catwalks for RMC coasters?
@cartcody2 жыл бұрын
The only way I found is actually a pretty tedious way of going about it, but basically you can import the same coaster you’re working on so it will overlay your coaster, then freeze 1. On the other change the coaster type to something like “rocket coaster” for example. After then set the cat walks on for the lift then click the rest of the layout and chance it to “invisible segment” and then freeze that. It’s a tedious way, BUT it works 😁

This worked but id like to know how to make things on a diagonal axis. Im making a coaster and i made it turn out of the station instead of keeping straight and its almost impossible for me to get the lifthill and drop to be straight even with strict nodes
@cartcody2 жыл бұрын
Okay, so for this you will want to go to top view, and rotate the track in the diagonal direction you want it to go, then select all of the nodes you want to make straight in top view and after that in the track tab you will click “make 2d straight” and it should straighten all of what you selected without deforming the track, it also works in other views but only in certain ways of building, I’m recording a couple tutorials today so I’ll cover that for sure! I hope this helps! 😁

what i think the problem is, when you make a lift hill and its strict, at the very top of the lift make sure that vertex is not strict. then you can do the crest of the lift and down with the drop without it becoming a bend lift hill!
