Thanks for the tips. I was surprised at how wide those EQ cuts were on the fab filter. I feel like the stock eq would be more noticeable but fab seems a little more subtle.

Question: If the vocals weren't distorted/overdriven to begin with, would you have opted to saturate them in the mixing process? Did the existing vocals limit you from using a saturation plugin?
@VitinhooWBatera5 жыл бұрын
Huge sounding mix! Congrats for the work and the great song. I have only one thing to point out; to my ears,the main vocals and mainly the supporting vocals sounded buried in the final mix. Maybe it's a matter of taste,but I'd raise about 1dB on all vocal tracks. I listen to ADTR and this sounds pretty much like them,and I think this would make the song/mix/concept even closer to their kinda sound. Again,huge sounding project! Such an inspiration! Congratulations,man!

Just curious, when tracking vocals what do you like to do to make sure a take is in tune? Just use your ear? I’ve been using variaudio in Cubase but it’s extremely time consuming and tedious
@EthanRadell2 жыл бұрын
at Nollys level. The vocals are defintely tuned when they can me and then yeah, you just gotta use your ear. If its off at all, re track.
