Great styles! I have this wig and I don't know what to do with it. Totally new to wigs. I have fine hair as well ....do you find that the combs are harsh on fine hair? I am so nervous about the combs because my hairline is thin.

vanna shanell I have fine hair and the front combs were really harsh on my scalp. I can't recommend wig grips enough (look them up on here). After getting them I took all the front combs off my half wigs and they still stay perfectly in place but are so comfortable!

Oh I see you say you already use them with half wigs. I'm trying to visualize how you would hide it though. Reviews I've watched so far the girls are using full lace wigs.

vanna shanell I wasn't a wig user either - I just bought Annie and Milan Girl at Christmas as protective styles while I transition. I was freaking out at first worried everyone would notice or it would fall off but I've never felt so secure as with a wig grip. You just take out your leave out and put the wig grip further back, just on the line. It won't slip. After putting the wig on, I put a bobby pin behind each ear to secure everything but it's not necessary. Sooo much more comfortable than using combs, I can tell you. Btw, I bought mine on Amazon - not the real deal but they work great! Good luck!

vanna shanell Ah, one thing. The first time I used it, I was wearing a wig cap and they both kept sliding back under the wig. Now I don't use a wig cap and it works anazingly.

Question: do you think wearing wigs contributes to thin edges? It seems like a no win-you want to protective style, but then the style can break your hairline. It's all so confusing!

As long as you continue to add moisture to your hair regularly, no thinning or brekage will occur :)

This type of unit shouldn't contribute to thin edges. I think lace fronts where the lace is glued down could be problematic without proper care. But in general, I've never had compromised edges due to wigs. Hope this helps.
