Hello, a word of advice from an experienced world hiker who has been to Norway twice. Nourishment is extremely important for strength during hikes like this, it's not a good time to consider fasting. You need those calories and that energy to help you keep stable footing.
@SwimdeepСағат бұрын
I concur absolutely.
@cynthiagray-t7dСағат бұрын
I agree, Especially in cold weather temps, The body burns more calories trying to maintain core body temperature. You will lose energy quick.

Hello Nomi, before you engage in your International travel, you can contact your phone service provider and request to activate your phone for international use. There's a cost but worth your time and money.

I always do and it is so worth the extra cost

That wasn’t a good idea to fast and not eating when you are about to do a rigorous outdoor activity, especially in the extreme cold wilderness in a foreign country. You’re only asking for accidents or danger. That may also explain 3 times fallings on the hike. Save your diet regimen for when it’s appropriate!

Hey Nomi, on an extreme hiking or any activities, always feed your body so you won't burn out. There is no need to think about fasting or dieting. Also, Drinking coffee will increase your thirst, causing dehydration. Keep doing what you are doing and may God continue to bless you with many more adventures. Stay safe 🙏

Snow shoes take a lot of getting used to. The best way I can describe it is to remember basic training when you had to mark time march and your DS was yelling for everyone to raise those knees. It's similar to that in a way. Once your legs are used to high stepping every step, falling will become less frequent. Definitely a good idea to buy some of your own and practice for challenging hikes like what you did in this video.

After many years in Michigan, Colorado and Alaska I pass on anything snow and cold I felt happy to donate my cold weather gear when I left Aaska LOL. Great experience I'm sure for you but doesn't look much fun for me. I'd prefer a ocean (unfrozen) , eye candy (the menz) and tropical weather. Enjoy your adventure!
