Nomad Life: Stage 4 Cancer, Fever and Injury | 71 Days of Our Cargo Trailer Camper Conversion

A few days ago, Dan started feeling off. Then he started having a fever and coughing. At the same time, he injured his shoulder. Because he has stage 4 cancer, these things require our attention more than usual.
Before we even start relaxing and transitioning to a less stressful life, another crisis shows up. We need a paradigm shift!
Our dream remains "actual" van life in a custom 174 Extended Sprinter Camper 4x4 van, and that will come :)
THE STORY:
Dan was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his spine 6 months ago. We were then gently evicted and this is what we can afford with our current resources.
So we're doing a cargo trailer camper conversion and transitioning to (not quite) van life. We plan on living off the grid as much as possible and doing a lot of overlanding in our tiny house on wheels.
The good thing is van life has been our dream for a long time. Life, the Universe, heard us I guess 😉 and made it happen! Does it look like what we planned? Not exactly. But we're turning a scary situation (scary diagnosis) into the adventure of a lifetime! Digital nomad life, here we come! We choose to trust the universe.
We also believe leaving our stressful life behind will be healing. We want to know what it feels like to leave The Ten Thousand Things behind and experience the healing freedom of the open road.
So, we’re selling ALL our belongings and heading for the nature and the road, starting with driving from Vancouver Island to Florida to see the grandkids we haven’t hugged in 5 years.
The crazy thing is, we've never done this before. It's trial by fire.

I am 63 this last week and I have been in so many car accidents and a motorcycle accident that I hurt all over, I truly trust GOD for Mt healing and I have used the Hemp oil and the cbd oil without the THC in it to help with my pain and it helps, I don't recommend it to everyone but it helps me

Hi Maya. Dan's shoulder is not getting any better and neither is his fever/cough so we're actually crossing over into Canada (Vancouver Island) tomorrow and will go to the ER. Dan has appointments for MRI and CatScan in a couple weeks so we'll be there a little earlier than planned. Thanks for the love. 💚
