Nomad Sculpt - Extrude & Bend (3.12.2021) - ! Use SelMask to protect the ends of the object !

Short Tutorial - How to extrude and bend a contour - easy and quick.
! You can Mask the ends of your Shape to protect them from smoothing !
There is always a better way, please post suggestions for improvement in the comments. Have fun sculpting.

I don't think in these ways, so its cool to see how you do them. this one blew my mind haha! ill have to try it out. one thing I noticed was your first cut on that play with a rectangle...it didn't cut it at a 90 degree corner. it gave it a beveled edge which I thought was weird. that's not your fault, it must be something with the program! thanks again!

Your videos are VERY helpful. Thank you for figuring out all of the features and for documenting them! How did you lock the view? I've been looking for that but haven't found it. It's very annoying when you are tracing a background image and accidentally click off of the object and everything moves...

you can save a fixed view in the camera menu including the position of the background image. (Add View) You can save the small cube for the views, that it does not rotate anymore. Press and hold the cube with your finger.

What’s te difference from flat subdivision and linear subdivision? Cause on my app it says linear and not flat.

Why not use lathe? And create lathe profile?

Of course, you can also use lathe for bending. But: it is not possible to import an existing 2D profile into the Lathe tool - you have to redraw the profile manually. For each situation there are different solutions, you have to decide which one is the best for you, you just have to know the different possibilities.

Hello, these are not beginner tutorials, you should already have good knowledge of Nomad Sculpt. Nomad has already been updated several times and the UI has changed, some things can now also be created with other tools. At the bottom right, the Nomad Sculpt version is displayed very small.

@@3sotErik Yes, these are videos of professionals with studio equipment and top down cameras and video post processing. They don't do anything else all day, unfortunately I still have to my „normal“ work 😉. In my current videos, however, the gestures on the screen are already displayed.

You watch old videos you joker ! The Lathe tool didn't exist when the app started and besides, the video is called extrude & bend. With the Lathe Tool it is NOT possible to bend an existing profile. 🤣
