Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoyed your time in Wichita Falls, TX. Just FYI … the tornado sirens are tested on the first Monday of the month at noon. So, Hello Again wouldn’t have been open (they are open Tues-Sat). And another FYI so you don’t sound out of place … Bowie is said with a long oo sound as in food. The Christmas lights at Midwestern State are called the Fantasy of Lights. They used to be displayed on the grounds of the Burns’ Home. They have been at the school for a number of years. Im glad you had the chance to stop by and see them. If you are ever back this way - you need to check out the Mane Event. These are life size horse statues around the city that depict different aspects of life here in WF. Be careful on the road! Prayers for safe travels.

That artificial falls was quite unique and would make a lovely addition to any park. Sometimes the BEST plans are NO plans, and to just go with the flow like the currents in water, to wherever the direction and rhythm takes you. Your video's are always pleasant and entertaining. I enjoy them when they are trouble free, and casual! Look forward to the day you decide to resettle and buy another home, adding a new genre to your videos. Either way I'm here for the long haul. Be safe and take care!!😊

Tech School in 1969 for me. But went back to teach the school in '72-'74. Bought my 1st house and married my 1st wife there. Rented out the house while the USAF sent us on a Honeymoon to Hawaii. While we were in Hawaii, a Tornado went through Wichita Falls within 2 blocks of our house. We only had roof damage. Our little wooden house is now surrounded by brick houses.

Nice of you to share my hometown. The Burns Fantasy of Lights at the end of the video was actually started at a woman's home many years ago and then was donated to Midwestern State U. They have added a number of new displays since then. Oh and yes, the sirens are a test and go off the first Monday of each month at 12 noon. 👍

That was a nice little opening sequence of the falls. I remember when I was a kid flipping channels in Detroit on the TV in the late 60's 0r early 70's channel 3 from wichita falls came bouncing in off the ionosphere . Darn odd watching a Texas TV station in Michigan. Only lasted an hour or so and faded away.

2 corrections to your visit. It wasn't possible at the time to build on the opposite side of the falls as it stayed flooded almost year round and there was a lot of kayaking also Lucy Park was near. Across from the falls is a hotel or was. The red river floods a couple of times a year. The falls usually is under water then. The hotel I mentioned as it was being built flooded up 30 feet. As for the "skyscraper" that was supposed to be a hotel. The architecture put inches instead of feet on the drawings. The person that funded the "skyscraper" also built the big stadium where they hold major boxing and other events. The city of Wichita did not fund any part of the building and it was donated to the city.

Yes Cotton bowl bound UC Bearcats and maybe a drive thru of downtown Cincinnati (Bengals & Reds Stadium, Procter & Gamble World HQ and maybe a ferry across the Ohio River to where a town (Rabbit Hash, Ky.) has a dog as the Mayor. Some great spots around here. And like I said I like your vids. Stay positive Bro.

eric, at 13:20 in your video those are not "Security Lights" those are called Emergency Lights they are used in businesses like hotels and stuff to provide back up lighting in case of a power failure. They have a replaceable battery that is charged when plugged in. and when the power goes out. the lights come on and use the built in recharagable battery pack. My late grandmothers old furniture shop was filled with that same model Emergency Lights. My guess with a new battery, power cord and some new bulbs those emergency lights would work again. I could see you putting one up inside the RV just in case you have a power failure that way you can see your way to the breaker panel.

Fun fact for you Eric 😉 It's cool you have clothes that say "Don't be a tater hater" because you are a nomad and call yourself "Nomadic Fanatic" In the past in Norway, the word "Tater" was an ugly nickname, which was used on gypsies, especially for traveling people from Romania. When I was growing up, my grandmother used to tell stories about the travelers and how badly they were treated. But she liked them and was friends with them, and I thought it was SO exciting to hear about how they lived and worked. They were (and still are) a proud people, and did not take shit from anyone, they had a reputation for being tough, and often ended up in fights ... and they were good at fighting, it did not go well with those who were stupid enough to to take them on ...
