Fahim is a great guy but my man gave quite a few incorrect information unfortunately. Nonetheless, I think it is just a language barrier problem. Kachi Biryani is slow cooked Lamb biryani, they spend 12+ hours to cook it. It is a speciality from old Dhaka and usually found in wedding or similar large events. And from Sadarghat you take Ferry to the South Divisions (Barisal and Khulna) not to Chittagong.

You are looking for veg food - ask for (luchi and aloo tarkari) - Luchi= Puri, aloo = potato and tarkari - sabji. You can also seek Luchi (Puri) and Cholar Daal (Chane ki daal)

First of all, a massive massive thanks for the special drone shots of the river in dhaka. I always like your down to earth style of vlogging. Fahim bhai is also very nice. Just wanted to share some info , very basic info about Kachhi biriyani. I am sure all your viewers know it. It's just that Biriyani is prepared in two major ways. One is kachhi , where all the ingredients including rice, meat, spices etc are all mixed together raw and prepared together. The other is pakki Biriyani- where the rice and meat are semi-cooked first and then mixed and the final part of the cooking is done. That's how the nomenclature also came about- kachhi and pakki. This is the basic idea only. Many finer detailed differences are also there. -From Prithvijit Debnath in Dubai, originally from Kolkata with roots from Barishal and Khulna.
