Vientiane may be a good travel destination for those who seek quiet lives.
But it is changing every day as Chinese capital is flooding into the city

Vientiane is one of those cities which is quiet during daytime at weekdays but comes alive after dark. Along the Mekong there are a few nice bars if you walk in the western direction from the center. Places like Aloha, Oh la la, Oh my God etc, which are run by local women. However for other places you need transportation. There's unfortunately no such thing as a walking street full of bars and Vientiane is quite spread out. There are bars with hostess girls and big beer gardens with plenty of local beauties, but most of them not in the center. If you decide to go back, just go out with someone who lives at Vientiane and can bring you to the right places.

I just spent a month in Houay Xay. Every meal was US$1.50-2.00 Hotels with aircon were US$11.00 to $18.00. Friendship Bridge 4 crossing is 20 minutes away from Chiang Khong, Thailand. Fly into Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai and take a bus to Chaing Khong. The Gibbon Experience is great near Houay Xay.

While stuck in traffic, a famous Taiwanese singer died in the back of an ambulance, as she was being rushed to the hospital for a serious asthma attach. I miss her voice very much. Her live in BF watched her die, as he was by her side. Many songs here sound like her. I believe her name was Teresa Tang

... I live in Vientiane, you have so many shops of massage ... some are so beautiful, and it's so cheap ... but you need to try some for find a "good massage" ... some don't give definively "happy-end massages" ... but you can find some girls who can give you a "happy-end massage" for a small tip, but it's never really hot 🤣 ... for hot massages, oil body body, and so on ... Thaïland ... 🤓👍
