I agree witj you. What a lot of stans fail to see is that boys are like that. Once you become close to each other (Nomin practically grew up together right) you can do anything. The more comfortable you are with each other, the stronger the bromance is. Thats how I view them. Just because they are so close to the point that they look like lovers does not mean they actually are. Boys are just playful, and they are young adults. Its perfectly normal.

I will never understand why people present nomin as a couple or having romantic feelings for each other, but then put BFF in the thumbnail, like how you’ve done. Like I get it if you’re afraid you’ll get hate from people that don’t like Nomin/Jaemjen but i just find it ironic that you are most certainly not depicting them as being “just friends” or having a “platonic” friendship with the way you edited and commentated over the top of it. Friends don’t behave in this way! And maybe you didn’t realise that you were doing that but I just think it’s time people drop the heteronormativity and the double standards and accept that potential exists for 2 guys to love eo who happen to be Korean idols! Is it that absurd of a thought? It’s normal in real life so why is it so far fetched in the realm of kpop which is just Korean people who sing and dance essentially. What irks me most is when nomin will be having the most intimate and very clearly sexually tense interaction (which there are plenty of) and then say “I wish I had a best friend like Jeno” or “Get a bestfriend that looks at Jaemin the way Jeno does”. I’m not claiming they are in a relationship but it’s just funny that we out here trying to save face from others on the internet. Just say you ship them and move on! I don’t think people realise that the word “ship” comes from the word “relationship”, otherwise they’re just friends. Ship has the connotation that you support them as being in a relationship which is not weird, shipping has been going on for decades now and not only abroad but in kpop since it’s inception. Stan Twitter has become an adverse ground for hate on shippers when in reality, they’re doing a lot less harm than the people gatekeeping and policing idols. Like it’s okay for fans to say they wanna go down on their idols but the minute another fan entertains the idea that there could be something between 2 idols (which is far more plausible than the former), they cop a myriad of hate. No hate from me of course, still really enjoyed your video, but just thought it was something worth mentioning!

Confronting them about it is just going to make them feel worse and still not change anything.
