I hope Square-Enix would make an HD Remaster of Dissidia Duodecim from PSP with the same type of visual upgrades as Crisis Core Reunion! This would be a great way to bring in new fans and satisfy previous fans!

I'd say that Dissidia: Operations Omnia comes close to that. It's a mobile Game, too, that also has limit breaks and other special moves. The only difference is that the character art is a little more in the way of the chibi style as opposed to a realistic style. The background art and art in general still looks rather impressive and the music is quite good.

@lexkittenh5183 im expecting huge kind of live service game within similary environment as Dissidia 012, Versus 13, XV, Forspoken and 14 has similary map architectures, open world, RPG mechanics from Stranger of Paradise, its only a matter of time…

I'm perfectly fine with them going either way, be it the fighting route, or RPG route. Personally though...I'd really like to see a re-release/remaster of Duodecim on consoles, in a similar way to how they handled Crisis Core Reunion. That game is great, but we need to get it off of the PSP. It has been trapped there for far too long.

I hope we do get a new Dissidia game in the future. If I'm a betting man, I think we might have to wait until either after FF7 Remake 3 or after KH4 releases.

So do I, though if I were to guess and I don't want to spoil anybody's hopes, but I'd say we'll most likely have to wait until after both Final Fantasy VII remake part 3 and Kingdom Hearts 4 are released.

I'm honestly happy to hear that SE or Nomura have plans for Dissidia. So my hopes for this incredible franchise are stronger now. 1v1 should be standard but I would like to keep also 3v3 battles as a additional and optional game mode, because I like the concept of team battles. Problem in NT was that this was forced. I'm open for many things for gameplay improvements in a future game because I have confidence that they don't screw up many things. Well I would be thankful if they'll make it not turnbased like OO, unless it were also a optional game mode.

This is great news to come across, but I personally think that a Dissidia that is more similar to its classic version would be the best way to go. Considering it's what most if not all fans were draws to, to begin with. Personally, I think having the game being a 1v1 is fine, but they should also make it to where there's different game lobby sizes and different game modes, that way there's variety and options for different types of players. And definitely having a system to make and build your own combos and arsenals like in the classic Dissidia. Some characters would have to be updated in tribute to their story and interactions with other characters. Speaking of, I strongly believe that you wouldn't be able to have Jack Garland and Garland as separate characters; however, I do think that they should have some sort of mash up of the two since they are technically the same character. Maybe the basic classic Garland look with swap-able skins between the classic Garland and the Origins Garland, and then have a mashup of Jack Garlands form of talking or lines along with classic Garlands character for voicing, of course having special interactions with certain characters is a must. I think that would be perfect for paying tribute for the characters, without rewriting either of them completely.

I'd actually love to see a more expanded roster of characters in a future Dissidia game. Maybe add 2 or 3 more reps per game like Barret and Yuffie from FF7, Prompto Gladio and Ignis from FF15... Basically just put the main party of each FF in Dissidia instead of 2 or 3 reps. It would be the "Ultimate" Dissidia (albeit nigh unfeasible given multiple factors)...

I think a combination of the different games would be good. Make it a big version of that mobile game with enhances graphics and models to look more like the newer games but instead of going turn based in the fights Bring back the fighting style of the first disidia game with the combination of 3V3 fighting. Also include all the characters that have appeared in disidia lore with the addition of characters from the recent games

I'd like them to try something more to the roots of Dissidia. As for characters that I want and extension of additions based on the first games adding hero and villain for FF games without characters while expanding others that have already, Also an idea from Opera Omnia that includes a large amount of games. Have at least a character from each game even ones that couldn't be added to Opera Omnia like Mystic Quest, Tactics Advance and Advance 2 or the Chocobo from Chocobo Fables. For the numbered games FFI really need more from this one, Record Keeper had a good idea with Master and Thief.

It’s so easy for them to make a great Dissidia. Just take Duodecim:012 and build from that. They shouldn’t focus on the story, like they did the previous games, it should just be a fighter with character endings. Maybe, some badass prologues and mid gameplay cutscenes as well, once you fight your rival. Multiple HP Attacks and EX Bursts are sorely missed.

square enix dot learn. dont create a soullesss multiplayer. create a strong single player game with multiplayer features. that's how dissidia will thrive. i wish we could slap these words to square enix's face everyday.
