This is an awesome and honest no holding back review of all of these. I have been on a break from drinking and found great alternatives that make me not want to go back. 🙂

Thanks for this review. I recently quit drinking going on 60 days for the same reason as you. And been missing the carbonation and hops. Recently has Laguinats NA Ipa. Which was crap and I lost hope. I will go to total wine this week and grab a few and have some samples. CHEERS!

Thanks for the reviews. I totally agree with you on the WellBeing offerings, I just tried them recently. They have the best mouthfeel of any NA beers. I liked the Hellraiser Amber better than the IPA. The IPA is more of a hoppy amber, not bad but not that great either.

Love the partake beers. You could do a whole video on them. Love that the ipa is just 10 calories per can too.

Been trying out NA beers for the past year for a few reasons, but just picked up a bunch more during this time for similar reasons to you all. Wellbeing's Dark Amber is definitely a solid option and is often available in stores (have not had the IPA yet). I have enjoyed Athletic Brewing's lineup overall. I tried all 4 of Hairless Dog's options (out of Minnesota) and was sadly disappointed by their IPA and Coffee Stout, but the Citra Lager was really good and the black lager being alright mostly because it's a style that nobody else has. I'm still waiting on my order from Bravus to arrive... I like Clausthaler Dry Hopped too and nice that it's readily available. The new Budweiser zero is surprisingly good being what it is. Cost is a bonus for Bud as well. I think it is best for game night when I want to drink all night long and have snacks along with it. Thanks for doing this video review!

Heineken 0 is probably the best and closest to a good beer. You should try it!! You will not be disappointed.

Not a single one of the beers in this review is available in southern Louisiana. The Heineken 0.0 is not perfect, but much better than the Budweiser and Pabst competitors which comprise the total of non alcoholic beers available locally.

It definitely tastes and feels like I’m drinking a Heineken. Which is what I want in an N/A beer.

Maybe I just don’t enjoy Heineken, because Heineken 0.0 is one of my least favorite N/A beers.

Yeah, I really don't understand the stigma around most NA "beers." I had an absolutely terrible relationship with alcohol, nearly every night I was drinking simply to get drunk. As I made more money, the alcohol got better but the flavor was never the main focus. Long story short, I quit alcohol and slowly worked it back in. I mostly have top shelf mixed drinks but I can't have any pre-made alcoholic beverages because actually making the cocktail slows down my drinking and the top shelf liquors help remind me that I'm enjoying the drink for the flavor, the slight buzz is just a bonus, lol. NA beer has been a great alternative. Whenever I see someone with an NA beer now, I take it as a sign of a person that knows they have boundaries and enough self control to live within them. Another one to try is Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher. 0 calories 0 alcohol. Hoppy carbonated water. Refreshing, light and can scratch that IPA itch a bit for anyone into IPAs. : D

They’re in a lot more places now. Their online price is ok, but when you add shipping, it’s pretty crazy for 6-12 beers.

Me too bc of being in isolation for over a year. I’ve also packed on pounds from the consumption. I hope one of these can help me break this cycle. I like to mix tomato juice with my beer. I generally go for modelo natural light or bud light. Any suggestions?
@Purveyorofawesome3 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with grabbing a few of the lighter NA beers and mixing in some tomato juice. You'd have to try a few and experiment. Let us know what you find out in case others are searching for the same thing!

U try becks na, i bought one and it smelled skunky. 👎 So far i like budweiser zero, penns best... Really good with a meal like a steak, fajita tacos or bbq👍...with a lime squeezed on top of a the cold can, freaking awesome, makes me happy 👍😁 I just bought coors edge and texas select today...will be trying tomorrow. 👍 My last real beer was dec31 2020. In 2019 i did a full year alcohol free In 2020 omg i just over drank, i tried drinking just one but that lil buzz just makes me want more and then the hangovers 🤕🤢. So this year im doing another year break or im really thinking about giving it up 👍

If you're in recovery or choose to quit drinking alcohol, you don't need to spend all that money on these NA beverages. Just let the whole thing go. You can always drink sparkling water, tonic water, natural juices or even ginger beer. Why drink something that mimicks the poison you got away from? I'm about 6 months alcohol free and have no alcohol cravings. I've recently tried a NA beer to see what all the hype was about. I didn't like the feeling and realize that I don't really care for the taste of beer. I only tolerated because of the buzz.

why not drinking soda
@Purveyorofawesome4 жыл бұрын
Beer is a fermented drink and soda isn’t. There is a different type of taste that a beer, or a fermented drink, has that we’re looking for. Some of these do it well, others do not.

Soda is way too sweet for a beer drinker. Many of us enjoy beer but aren’t looking for a buzz. The buzz is often an unwanted side effect.

How is there such a thing as a na spirit?
@Purveyorofawesome3 жыл бұрын
I get that it seems weird, but look at an alcohol like Gin. It has a very distinct taste. Having a NA Spirit for those that like a certain flavor (gin, whiskey, tequila, etc) is helpful for those who need, or want, to be sober.

ok so heres the bad news, I'm a recovered alcoholic. "Near beer is best drank near a detox." Its considered a slip in AA because its the obsession with drink manifesting, the only thing missing is the kick and at some point ..... down you go. Only alkies obsess over how to get beer in their mouth after swearing off. all this talk about taste, Americans have their taste up their rear end anyway and their beer proves it. Even european beer imported into the US is sickly sweet to accommodate the US palate. If you can leave the booze alone and not obsess about how to get it in your body again, you're free. If you don't know if its a problem or not, try controlled drinking, have a couple then STOP. Try it a few times, a real alcoholic will soon discover they can't stop because they don't WANT to stop. If you CAN stop and leave it alone then you were just problem drinking, when the problem drinker stops drinking the problem goes away. When an alcoholic stops drinking the problem is just getting started. Its a beautiful thing.

Great words! Though I didn’t find my sobriety due to being at the bottom of a ditch, I did stop fighting myself. I realized I want more out of life and when I drank it detracted from my goals and ambitions. Once I stopped fighting myself, it’s been an amazing eye opening experience!
