I loved A Walk in the Wood. I still practice the mindfulness techniques it taught and look at nature much more introspectively because of it.😊

I’m with you on the whole TBR thing, life’s too short to feel under pressure about what you read, reading is meant to be enjoyable. I like the sound of the Esther Rutter book, have added it to my to buy list😊 I really enjoyed James and won’t be unhappy if it wins but I’m still rooting for Stone Yard Devotional.

I have loose lists of books I want to read, but, similarly to what you’re choosing to do, I don’t hold myself to them, unless they’re buddy reads. I have a list of classics for this year and a list of classics for 2025. But there are ones on the 2025 list that were also on the 2024 list. 😅 It does need to be fun and it does need to be loose for me to be able to live life!

Hello, Angela. I really like your channel! Thanks for your content. I, too, am torn between 'going with the flow' and assigning myself books to read. I end up doing both, lol.

The best of both worlds :) Thanks for being here!

I didnt read a lot of childrens classics either as a kid but have as an adult and have really enjoyed it. If you havent already read, I would highly recommend The Jungle Book (original, not Disney version). I love Little Women and Anne of Green Gables too 😊

Hi Angela.. I'm reading A Walk in the Wood this month too! (I bought the book due to one of your previous videos). I'm also going to read Foxes Unearthed by Lucy Jones. I'm very intrigued by The Well Gardened Mind...and look forward to your thoughts on it. Thanks for sharing...and remember to get outside!😊

Lovely relaxing video. So glad to have stumbled across your channel. I am like you with TBRs, if I commit to a list I will veer off into another book pretty much straight away but I have a general list of books I hope to read and then try to pick at least one from the list when picking up books from the library or audiobooks. In the last few years, I have reached for children's books around Christmas/early new year time however, this last year, I would say every 5th book is a Children's book. Something so relaxing about it or a nice palette cleanser between other reads. For non-fiction November, I am reading The Heartbeat of Trees by Peter Wohlleben and after watching your last video, it pushed me to finally commit and finish reading Once upon a river by Diane Setterfield.

Breath was a fascinating read. I hope you enjoy it too. I’ve got a few books on the go but my nonfiction book is Radium Girls by Kate Moore. It’s fascinating but appalling what they suffered!

❤📚📚❤️ I really enjoyed Klara and the Sun. I hope you do too. The Pooh book sounds wonderful. I'm 75% through H is for Hawk, and I'd still like to read Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed. But ...just found Riding the Bus With My Sister A True Life Journey by Rachel Simon on my shelves and it's calling to me.

Very interesting sounding books; have not heard of most of them. I am reading The Salt Path by Raynor Winn because it is short. First impression of this book, these two people were not prepared for walking this over 600-mile trek. Reading it to find out what happens at the end. After this book, I really want to read this larger book from a local author, Steve Luxenberg's Annie's Ghosts which is about "A Journey into a Family Secret". His mother had a sister that he never knew anything about and being a journalist for the newspaper, The Washington Post, he researched her story. His mother's name is Beth. So I want to read to find out who is Annie? Why did Beth not tell Steve about her? Where is she? Along the fall and wintertime in the U.S. I will read a history book-The Alexiad by Anna Komnene who writes about her father's reign, Byzantine Emperor Alexios I so that people would not forget him and his accomplishments. She was the first woman historian who lived 1083-1153 and scholars deem this book as valuable as she writes well about this period. I am also reading a biography of Beatrix Potter on my Kindle. I would also like to read some of works which my library may have. These are fall-winter season nonfiction reads. I have lots of mysteries and winter themed books to read also while waiting for spring.

Sounds like a great reading list! I have The Salt Path high on my list
