All four members are multilingual, Rosé (Ro-Zay), the redhead, is actually a New Zealander who grew up in Australia. The girls have a natural English speaking/rap voice as opposed to other groups which usually sound unnatural to the Western ear.

Not to be rude cause I love blackpink obviously. But Jisoo does not have a natural English voice. And there's nothing wrong with that or any other who don't. In my opinion Lisa does not have a natural english speaking voice, you can definitely tell that its not her first language. She Sounds natural in her rap tho.if that makes sense. Idk ❤

The name Blackpink is actually a play on words that brings the opposites of Black and Pink together. Black connotes power, Pink suggest grace and femininity. The two together represent the groups aspiration to be strong and independent while still retaining their feminine allure. The ladies - Rosé - New Zealander to Korean parents, early life in NZ, spent ~6 years in Aussie - Australian accent Jennie - Korean, spent around 5 years in NZ while at school, Kiwi accent Lisa - Thai, polylingual (all are reasonably conversant in at least three languages), has a 'mid-atlantic' accent Jisoo - korean born and raised, learned english well, but still uncomfortable Interesting tit-bit, the latter three have honourable MBEs, Rosé actually has one as she is a Kiwi, and King Charles is out head of state. All their M/Vs are built sets or locations, with a tiny bit of GS or post-production, and they're usually full of 'easter eggs', in jokes, self references, etc. For example, a few details in this one - Jennie's throne is a Queen piece, and it's half black and half pink, as is the chess-piece she's holding; the fennec fox is a nod to the James Bond arch-villain, Blofeld, and his cats; her eye colour changes when she says "savage"; the graffiti on the black-board; the pink money; the "BLACKPINK" on the katana; Lisa's tail; and much, much more. Sadly, because of gross mis-management, when their contracts expired they moved onto other interests and, while it's not ruled out, they may not perform together again.

I love Blackpink: The first thing I heard a year and a half ago was the Pink Venom chorus on Tiktok and I thought what is this? I would never have imagined that rhythm and that cadence. I had seen several from other Korean groups and none of them caught my attention, but this one did. So I started looking for who they were and the first thing I found was the Dance Practice of "How you like that" and there I was hypnotized. Since then I haven't stopped following them. I miss the opportunity to see them live. I recommend, in addition to these two, Boombayah and the live performances at Coachella 2019 and 2023, especially this latest edition. Please, more Blackpink.

I think you'd really enjoy Stray Kids, their songs slap, their music videos are stunning and they are absolutely incredible dancers and perfomers; they ooze with charisma! Here's a quick list of some MVs that are worth reacting to: S-Class (there's also a live version of this song with a live band btw), Thunderous, God's Menu, LALALALA, Case 143, Red Lights, Backdoor, Freeze.. (+Megaverse, one of their most fun songs but i find the MV to be a tad disappointing so you should watch the Stage video, it would also give you a good idea of how great of performers they are) These are the most popular ones and honestly the best visuals wise imo. There are also dance practices available that I find really impressive and entertaing (Btw they produce and write the songs themselves which I think, as someone myself who's not that deep into KPop, adds a lot of value to their songs) Oh and they also have a song with LiSA the singer of Demon Slayer OP 1 and many other great openings

Welcome to the world of Kpop Allonsyyy! Hope you can enjoy diving in! You're a metalhead by nature you say? Then I would like you to try a Kpop group that could be in your area of liking. The group is called "Dreamcatcher," consisting of 7 girls: Jiu Siyeon Sua Handong Yoohyeon Dami Gahyeon They have a rock-based sound compared to other Kpop groups, and it is their trademark, making them the face of Korean rock, although they do have some Japanese tracks as well. They have a good amount of music, but will let you in on some info beforehand. They have a set series of music compiled by storylines for each of their music videos. Their 'Nightmare' trilogy composes of 6 songs: Chase Me (recommended to start since that is their debut song) Good Night Fly High What You and I Piri Their 'Dystopian' trilogy composes of 3 songs: Scream Boca Odd Eye Their 'Apocalypse' trilogy composes of 3 songs: Maison (has alot Vision Bon Voyage They have 2 game collaboration songs: Deja Vu (collab with King's Raid) (good song to recommend) R.o.S.E Blue (collab with Girl Cafe Gun) They also have a few Japanese tracks: Breaking Out (alternate ending for their 'Nightmare' trilogy) Endless Night (hardest song in the Dreamcatcher music lists) (highly recommend, since it's very metal) Eclipse (Ost for King's raid game) Other side tracks: BEcause Their most recent song is called "OOTD" (recommend since it's their latest) Enjoy the list given!

Love Blackpink! Each of the members has very distinct image and vocals, of course, they are GORGEOUS! Being someone who loves a good dancer, Lisa is my favourite, she just has that command/attitude when she dances & raps (but then off-screen, she's adorable!) Music wise, well just like a lot of the Kpop groups (especially girl groups), they don't produce their own music or write their own lyrics. But their main producer Teddy Park is an absolute talent made banger after banger. The MV production and outfits... top notch.

Love Blackpink! I think this was my actual first Kpop song ever discovered and I was completely blown away and then that brought me to Stray Kids! I highly recommend checking out Blackpink's younger sister group BABYMONSTER which debuted this week on April 1st with their title track Sheesh!

Good reaction. Not all their videos are very deep and thoughtful, but this is one is. This is one big FU to all their haters. They are not turning the other cheek ("DDu Du DDu Du" is the sound mimicking gun fire and with their finger guns during the chorus is them gunning down their haters). They are talking smack to their haters ("I don't care what people think, I give it to them straight" "we are pretty and savage" "whatever you say doesn't faze me" "My hands are full of fat checks, ... go on and fact check." "Think twice, I don't pretend to play nice like others" "you are too predictable" "what are you going to do when I come through (as in what are you going to do when I am even more successful and your attacks have just been a waste of time)"). After debuting each member had been attacked. For example, Lisa had been getting racist threats of physical violence so much so that the Thai embassy in Seoul felt compelled to get involved. Jennie was the focus of a lot of hate for being a lazy dancer, demanding that she be dropped from BP (that has gone away with many spectacular live performances), and Jisoo had been targeted as the Black Hole of Blackpink and was virtually ignored at fan signing events (accused of adding nothing but a pretty face, Jisoo is now recognized as tremendously talented and has gained a tremendous loyal following). Numerous Kpop idols have been driven to suicide by vicious social media attacks. In the Jisoo falling scene, at first the men are focused on Celebrity Jisoo on the wall mural, ignoring or just not caring about the real Jisoo standing right next to them. But when she falls (has some type of embarrassing personal or social moment) their focus turns completely onto real Jisoo, and they transform into masked assassins using their phones as weapons to finish her off (symbolizing internet netizens that use their phones for participating in social media attacks on idols). But in defiance, Jisoo stands back up, fully determined and committed to facing and overcoming the onslaught of hatred she is about to experience. And NOT committing suicide.
