When you think they put THIS MUCH effort into learning this high-energy choreography and creating the dance practice content…for a “b-side” song they were only performing live ONCE (at least before their reunion), and at a FREE concert to boot? The busan concert where they performed this had a live band. Suga's tour last year had a live band and j-hope at lalapaloosa had a live band. Also and tiny desk performances. They are pretty amazing. Any of the suschwita interviews with suga are good, run bts variety show, and the rise of bangtan series.
@terebinthias6 ай бұрын
LOL as a SUGA bias, your lil fanboy moment when he came on screen is so relatable haha. I also am like "He's SOO cool!" every time he pops up! Fun fact - after the "Daechwita" MV, Yoongi received offers to be in dramas but he didn't think he was handsome enough for that. He's said a bunch of times he would never want to be an actor, but I think he'd be great. They don't have dance practices for all of their songs, but they do have quite a few and the quality goes up over the years/depending on what they're practicing for. They will often film dance practices with amazing camera work, especially if they're practicing for a broadcast. Their staff/creative team are every bit as talented at what they do as the guys are at what they do. Sometimes they'll film stuff just to post it. I'm sure they knew they wouldn't have an MV for this song, so they filmed this to put out instead :-) If you like the style of filming, also check out SUGA's "Haegeum" dance practice and 3J's (Jimin, J-Hope and Jungkook) "Butter" remix dance - they have a similar film style, as do the "Butter" and "Permission to Dance" dance practices. A lot of their earlier ones are static cameras in a much smaller practice room in the pre-HYBE days. Re: their enthusiasm - They talked on Suchwita (SUGA's talk show) about how everyone was so excited for this song/performance that they adjusted their schedules and came in early for dance practices because they were so into it. And of course that really pays off in the performance!

This is the video that actually got me into the BTS. It appeared in my suggested feed around August last year and once I watched it there was no going back 😁 I can't count how many times did I watch it and how many reactions to it I watched 😂
@robertenck24236 ай бұрын
Like most ARMY, I kind of lost my mind when they dropped this video. The song on PROOF was instantly a top-tier all-time fave song, and everyone was waiting for an MV. But then they performed it live in Busan & dropped this dance practice, and like many, I became obsessed with it for at least a couple of weeks. And it is still in my top ten all-time from them. The rock elements with a little boogie-woogie is so unique. Someone mentioned this style resembles early Tina Turner, and that is perhaps why V has the cool fringe jacket. Just a brilliant song. And this choreo did not in any way disappoint. Great reaction!🌟

dance practice videos have somewhat evolved over the years in kpop. they started as videos that were filmed to send to award shows and other events so that broadcasting stations could map out where each member was, and plan ahead for the camera operators. in older bts dance practices, you can see them wearing nametags to make it easier for them. some groups also filmed them to just watch back and look for errors. eventually, they started being released as extra content for fans. after companies saw how much fans loved them, they started filming a dance practice version specifically to show to fans with more intricate camera work than the initial setup.

They don't just practice the choreography of the group members. They are also practicing the choreography of the camera work. Their interactions with their audio and video staff are the best in the business. Go back and rewatch it. You were so focused on the guitar solo, understandable as a metal head😂, that you missed the choreography alluding to motorcycles, etc.

All of BTS's dance practices are amazing. In the dance practices you get to see the full choreography for the song which you don't always see in the MV. Also you get to see their goofy personalities i.e. in the Halloween versions of Go,Go etc. Or in Just One Day where V couldn't stop laughing throughout the whole practice.

My favorite BTS dance practice video is of one of their oldest songs, Danger. They're all so young (everyone was still in their teens, except Jin, who was barely 20) but you could see how hard they worked and how ambitious they were. They are so in sync and the coordination is amazing.

1:50 most of their dance practices are not filmed properly like this but instead just normally. They started filming them like this after their company hybe built the new building in 2021, as their budget increased and they got a better practice room. bts' practice room is the biggest and best in hybe and its exclusively for them only

Run BTS has no music video. The song talks about their journey, from the beginning, as trainees, until now that they are 'worth millions'. And congratulate one by one for the excellent work! It was performed at BTS's last concert before military service and as a celebration of the group's 10th anniversary. Dance practice is not a rehearsal, but the presentation of the finished choreography.

so sometimes they perform with a track, sometimes with a band, often with both. They've loved working with bands ever since 2015 and often that's part of what makes their live performances even cooler because the concert mixes are so different from the studio production. Also this song doesn't have a music video. So right before Jin, the first member who went, left for the military they held a last huge concert for FREE in Busan. No one expected them to do this song and no one had seen the choreo. They opened the night with "Mic Drop" and an epic live band doing the music behind. Then, instead of the usual dance break at the end of "Mic Drop" they revealed this choreo for the first time! The crowd went even crazier and it became historic! also they crushed it. It's crazy to think they learned this whole choreo just to perform it one time before going on a 3 year break from group activities! if you look at the lyrics it's also a song about them and far they've come and how they're only going to keep going. During JHope's rap he literally thank's each member by name. It just goes to show how hard they work and their extreme dedication to the fans and each other! BTS really does things like no other

@suebee06196 ай бұрын
If you watch an MV, it's usually worth watching the dance practice as well. In the MV,s everything gets chopped up and you don't see the full choreo. Watching the dance practice gives you the full picture of what is happening dance-wise. Most dance practices do have a static camera, which I honestly prefer most of the time. That rehearsal space is solely for BTS, so the most recent dance practices all happen there. You'll see practices from the past in other spaces. This one is a very cool space. It has mirrors for when they're practicing and then there are shades that can be dropped to cover them for filming. There's lighting that is somewhat adjustable based on what they're doing and the sound system is excellent. I assume the floor is sprung which makes dancing much easier on the body because it has a lot more give to it. Oh, and there's a basketball hoop because of course there is. LOL

This was their present for us in the last antology album before the break for military. When you think about how this song was created and for what... ah, amazing. Also, the live version of this song is even better. Everything they do live sounds better than the studio version... ALWAYS! Also, they raised the standard for K-pop. All the other bands have hard coreos because BTS raised the bar so high it was impossible for the others not to do it. Their dance practices are the best. They also have goofy ones and they do everything for us with so much love an professionalism. There is no one like them and there will never be. APOBANGPO!

The live version was insane! They only performed it once before their hiatus in their Yet to Come concert - which was free btw. They do have lots of other dance practices for their songs! Fun fact, you pointed out Yoongi as potential movie star - he is indeed really good at acting - but V actually acted in a drama and Jin is a theater and film major 😊 The dancers really killed it but they only work with the best after all 😌
@brionyfakatou16206 ай бұрын
They even have dance practice videos for B side songs with no music videos (like this one). That way fans that aren’t able to make it to the concerts can see the tricky choreography that the band has worked so hard on even if there is no music video. Sometimes some of their dance practices are even cooler than the music videos for certain songs. For example: We are bulletproof part 2.

They always record their practices and run throughs they use them as part of checking everything, how they can improve. They do it over and over again they are never satisified you get to hear the say things like 'one more time' when you get the behind the scene's footage. It's the BTS members themselves who always think they can do it better as they discuss between themselves. The choreo one's are usually their finale practice that they are happy with so they'll not be stopping and discussing it. Hope that helps.

There are a LOT of dance practice vids from over the years. One of the main reasons they started releasing them is that in live performances and even in MV's you often don't see all the footwork and hard choreo. And BTS are known for their hard, fast, synchronous dancing. And they sing live while doing it! There are so many you should watch because you will get a new appreciation for how insanely good they are and how hard they work. And yes, watch Run! BTS because that is their own variety show and you'll get to know them and how humble, intelligent, and hilarious that all are.
@javinnelaureen6 ай бұрын
They have recorded almost all dance practices of all their songs with choreo. I think all. Some dance practices are also very crazy, either because of they are not totally following the choreo and they are just having fun, or because they are celebrating Halloween and they do their choreo with disguise. They give us all those practices as gifts. It is simply a gift and we love them. I recommend you all of them, but particularly those of the songs: go go, war of hormones in the studio and spine breaker. We can watch them over and over and over again and never get tired. Whatever BTS has on their channel is worth watching.

To my knowledge this has only ever been performed live once, at their Yet To Come concert in Busan South Korea, which was a free concert that was held simultaneously to promote Busan as the site for an upcoming world fair and as a farewell before they all left for their military service. They pulled out all the stops for that one and if I remember correctly they did perform with a live band at that concert. You can watch the songs from that concert on KZbin and I believe the videos of it from the official channels are now subtitled as well.

They put out three new songs on their Proof album and this was one of them. It was my favourite so I couldn’t understand why there was no choreography for it when along comes the concert in Busan and we get this wonderful dance version. SHINee were the first to post dance practice videos when their practices were leaked. These days they are common but generally show the finished version of a dance. If we’re lucky we get a proper practice so we can see the process they go through. There is a behind the scenes of this which shows more of the process. Some are fun like War of Hormone, and the Halloween versions of Go Go and 21st Century Girls. 21st Century Girls features JK as a bunny and Jin as a cowboy on a horse. It is not to be missed. The Busan concert was free because it was to aid Busan in its bid for the 2030 Expo. Both Jungkook and Jimin come from Busan. We got the news shortly after that Jin was enlisting. Then we knew we were in for a hard few years but they certainly left us with a great concert and other presents to keep us going. I’m loving your reactions and your fanboying over Yoongi.

1. Because BTS does a wide genres of music, the styles of their choreography are as varied. And they evolve too, from very synchronized in their early career, to showing their individual dance styles in their later career. Some of my favorites: * Very synchronized - Danger, Boy in Luv * Expressive - Blood Sweat and Tears, Fake Love, Black Swan * Powerful - On, Mic Drop * Fun and playful - Baepsae, Attack on Bangtan, Go Go 2. Others have told you about their concerts and live bands. As for solo performances with live bands/instruments: * J-hope's Lollapalooza (70 minutes) * Jin's The Astronaut (the band was Coldplay) * RM's Tiny Desk Concert * Jimin's Letter * Suga's solo tour, official live clips, and Fallon performance * V's Tiny Desk Concert, Band Sessions, and Le Jazz de V * Jungkook's iHeart, The One Show, Global Citizen Festival, GMA, BBC Radio 1 Some of them have played instruments on stage too. * Suga - Life Goes On (piano) and Seesaw, Snooze, Dear My Friend (guitar) * Jin - Epiphany (piano) and an acoustic medley (guitar) with Jimin and V 3. Yes, Suga is so cool! He certainly grabbed our attention in this dance practice!

BTS dancing is a whole rabbit hole of its own! Yes, there are often dance videos to accompany music videos, (as well as a behind-the-scenes video of how the mv was made, each mv can generate 2 or 3 more videos!). (For some dances, they may chop it up into little pieces and do "dance challenges" with a few members or idols from another group, put out on social media and people can learn it and post their attempts to duplicate it). Like you, I wasn't much into choreography (how much is there, really, in most Western popular music?) but BTS changed that. Now I even sometimes recognize the names of their choreographers! This one is iconic. A stunning one from a few years back is "Not Today". One "practice" that I never saw done live was "Haegeum" (Agust D). There are old ones from their early years: a much less fancy practice space but even then the synchronicity of their dancing is breathtaking. Also sometimes at Halloween they would dress up in costumes and do the choreography to a song: "Go Go" was such a practice, in which the theme is Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. For that there is a behind-the-scenes video showing them doing rock-paper-scissors, the loser will play Snow White. VERY fun. Rabbit holes within rabbit holes. They also will put out "performance videos" where they perform the song from start to finish but not in their practice hall. I think the most iconic of those is the song "ON" at Grand Central Station in New York City. It was filmed at night when the Grand Hall was empty of commuters, and aired on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. There are performance videos (in addition to MV's) of their solo songs from the last year or so that are tremendous, for example, "Standing Next to You" and "Seven" (Jungkook). Once Jimin created a breathtakingly beautiful dance to part of the song "Stuck on You" (Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande) that he did in the practice space filmed on a phone. This was a gift to ARMY--not performed anywhere else. Lastly, I would be remiss to not shout out J-Hope, the dance leader, who has been releasing videos for years called "On the Street" where he'd set up a camera (on the street or in the practice space) and just freestyle. The man is astonishing. Recently he released a 6 part documentary in which he travels the world studying and learning new dances with dancers he admires. At the same time he released an album of songs he wrote to accompany the documentary. What can you say in the face of such genius? As other ARMY have said before, we are just grateful to be alive in this time. Love your reactions, eager to see you discover all these gems and more!
