Every company chooses leaders differently tbh - Hyun-suk (green hair) and Jihoon are the two oldest but also trained for a long time (Jihoon was actually sent home and then brought back). Sometimes its the oldest, or one who trained most amount, face of the group, or fits the group’s concept the best, etc so it just depends. Despite his badass vibe, Hyun-suk is literally their mom and has admitted it (esp bc some of them were sooo young when they debuted), and hes gone on lives being like hate on me all you want but dont pull that shit with my boys. Jihoon is the dad to Hyun-suks mom, and there’s a bit of a saying that goes “save Hyun-suk from Treasure and save Treasure from Jihoon” (theres actually great compilation vids titled along those lines). Treasure is known for being deeply, deeply unserious as a band (while still taking their jobs/music seriously), which often makes them stand out a bit as idols are usually so strict and controlled, meanwhile Treasure is a group of 20-something year olds just having so much fun and having a really really close bond. I recommend checking out the King Kong Its Live performance if you want to see a great performance of chemistry, talent, and charisma, but also pure fun! Their debut was Boy, followed by I Love You and then MMM. Theres a rap sub-unit MV titled Volkano, another sub-unit MV called Move, Bona Bona, Jikjin, and Darari (the og version has a nice dance practice and the remix has a MV). Glad you like them!!

Hyun-Suk is so full of charisma and energy when he comes out on camera, so it’s so so funny to know that the members actually consider him the mother of the group. 🤣 We definitely didn’t expect that and it’s so cool to know that as well as them being true performers they also have personality traits which are unique to them and make them so much more relatable. And yeah, especially bc they spent so much time training together, and the maknae was literally 15 years old when they debuted, Hyun-suk really takes care of them. In their reality web-series Treasure Map, and there are multiple videos over the past four years where one of them will just be like “right mom?” and Hyun-suk, even if he’s in another room, will yell back “right!” and they just crack up laughing. There are many groups that are super close in Kpop, and others that are a bit more clearly co-workers, but Treasure has neverrr faced co-worker allegations, like those boys will sleep three to a bed even if theres another empty one in the room. Even Asahi, who is like a 98% introvert (a crazy statistic tbh) really opens up with them around. At one point Yoshi (3rd eldest, 1st rapper in King Kong) said he always wanted a younger brother, and the rest were like you have us what are you talking about and joking saying they were hurt. Aside from the It’s Live King Kong performance, if you want to see their bond but also pure hilarity, I’d highly recommend watching their Silence of the Idol episode (and Doyoung, despite being one of the younger members is the room leader), which is absolutely legendary, not even just among Treasure fans, but for the series as a whole!

Regarding the leader position the Main Producer (the person that oversees the training of the idols, the music, the promotions, photo shoots etc. these idols train for years to debut btw) usually chooses the leader. Regarding with treasure, Treasure was suppose to be 2 separate groups, there was suppose to be Treasure and Magnum and these two groups was suppose to promote as one unit called TREASURE13. The reason it was called treasure13 because there was 13 people..the main Treasure group had 1 person (rapper) who left the group before debut due to different direction of music. After he left the 2 groups was combined into 1 group making it 12 and that’s how treasure has 2 leaders

Here are some of the answers to your questions: 1. They were originally 12 members and 2 left because 1 needed to study music production some more and the other one had a health issue 2. They were the ones who chose their positions based on their skills set and the ones they were most comfortable with 3. They did have a Survival Show but it’s a bit different from Baby Monster because in it you will see the other trainees who did not get chosen. It’s called YG TREASURE BOX (10 episodes on YT) 4. Their debut song was BOY in August 2020. 5. YG is home to legendary artists such as BIGBANG, 2NE1, iKON, WINNER, AKMU apart from BLACKPINK (altho only WINNER, AKMU, and BLACKPINK have remained under YG)

TREASURE originally have 12 members who debuted on 2020. Have 2 leaders -Hyunsuk & Jihoon; who I believe was chosen for the position because those two really are responsible beings and the ones who understand the members well. They actually acknowledge themselves as the parents of the group. The 2 members who left are Yedam & Mashiho. Yedam left because he wanted to pursue producing and went solo, while Mashiho had to left due to health issues which lately he recovered and also just debuted as a soloist in Japan. In the 10 member line up 5/10 are currently have produced their own songs for TREASURE, namely; Hyunsuk, Yoshi, Junkyu, Asahi, and Haruto.

Treasure is a 10member boy group from YG. They were originally a 12member group which you can see on this video. 2members left on 2022. This is a part of the Triology Debut. Debut song is BOY then I LOVE YOU and this MMM. Treasure has 2leaders. You ate correct with the 1st one the other leader is the one who's Half Naked at Kingkong. Leaders in YG groups are usially chosen base on who is the most all rounder. Hyunsuk (the green hair) is not just a leader but also onepf the Producer of the group. There's 5 in the group. Jihoon the other leader is in charge more on their dance. Both leaders work together for the group no one is higher than the other. They share the responsibility. Both of them said that they are like the Parents of the group. That's how their dynamics work. One is softer the other is like a strict dad. Hyunsuk is like the Mom and Jihoon is like the Dad. I've been loving your channel since the beginning! It's great to see you genuinely enjoy and learn about kpop!! I wonder if you could react to ZEROBASEONE who are coming back with the album Cinema Paradise on 26th August (title is Good So Bad). They have been around for a year and are a group resulting from the survival show Boys Planet. The song is a new concept for them (they've tapped into a lot and always slayed) and the vocals are shaping up to be amazing - they're known for their vocals but also strong dancers (another song on the new album, Kill The Romeo, is meant to have tutting parts choreographed by one of the members). The title song is composed by Kenzie who's been involved in hits like aespa's Supernova, Red Velvet's Psycho, EXO's Overdose, Monster, etc. and the MV director has worked on SKZ's Case 143, Seventeen's Maestro, etc. I'm saying, it's a hit and you really shouldn't miss out on ZB1!! They're the first group in a long time, after Stray Kids, that I've really fallen in love with music and content wise - their variety content/funny compilations are amazing as well.

2:10 in Kpop group, that's not really a big issue maybe because to be a kpop idol/debut, they must trainee many years & need to extra hard working. Usually also by the potition/ability, if there is a member that best of sing than another (i mean all of them is good, but there is also the really good 1 right?) So they will have a more part on song. Usually main vocal will sing bridge/the highnote. But i agree with u too like they have a trust with another. And the trust is came from a good bonding (the point that i talked before like they're living together). In Babymonster case, they're divide part by how they're match with the part. So one by one member will record all part & the team (producer, member too) will decide which member that most suitable with this/that part. I know this because i was watched their BTS Sheesh recording.
