It's understandable that Halsey didn't have singing part here ( she is singing but harmonizing with other members, so not clear much), becoz this is bts song so most of them watching this video is bts fans and they gonna perform this song in various music shows for their album promotion and Halsey won't be there, only bts gonna perform. And in case of Halsey most of her fans gonna listen this song through Spotify , itunes and all and even for radio promotion in america so they put this song in all those Spotify, itunes with Halsey singing most of the part (even she singing in korean language). Pls react to bts comeback stage in SNL ( saturday night live ) , they performed 2 songs boy with love and mic drop. Also their comeback stage of Dionysus live performance.

If you watch those songs, you might understand easily why Halsey wanted to collaborate with bts (learning dancing and even Korean lyrics). I m also a big fan of Halsey.

6:11 Halsey helped write the song and sings the choruses in english and korean on the actual album track. The reason why she isnt featured as much in the video is that this is a BTS song ft. Halsey. So the main point isn't to watch for her. She knows that too. She looks up to the boys and couldn't imagine upstaging them.

I’m glad you guys enjoyed the mv, Halsey worked really hard on the choreography and was really nervous about doing for the first time with the boys, she was amazing tho and I can’t wait to see her preform it with them for the first time at the BBMAs!!😁💜

I already commented this on another video, so I figured I'd post it here too since it still applies: I completely understand what y'all were saying, but personally, I don't really like collaborations that have an entire verse in English just for the western artist to do, especially on a Korean song. It's different if it's a western artist, who wants to have Korean sprinkled into their song, but for K-Pop artists, the song is primarily meant for THEM to perform, so it works much better with the western voice just mixing in with the English parts/lines of the song. I think Halsey's addition was perfect; she didn't overshadow the boys in the song-it wasn't just packed with a random English verse just for her to sing-and it showed true collaboration; the fact that she sang along with the Korean chorus IN Korean! She's so awesome! 😊😊🙌🏼💓 I think she contributed her part so perfectly... like, I feel like she knew just the perfect amount of singing she was supposed to bring (in the official recording too). It seems like there was such a strong mutual love between them all, and it made the collab feel so organic and real, and not at all business-like-which is what RM has said in an interview (that they became genuine friends, and decided to collaborate for that reason, rather than just for business).

Thank you for yr reaction! Yes, Halsey sang the chorus n some lines in English n Korean on the audio version. She can't join them on tours so they hv to improvise on the MV. This song is dedicated to Army who have supported BTS all these years through their struggles, hardships, criticisms, prejudices, etc. if you were to read the lyrics. So it's more uplifting n upbeat. The theme here paid homage to an old n famous movie Singing In The Rain and the neon signs are all their albums. This special music production is explained by an expert if you like to check out his channel "Jino" on the later part.
