Taemin almost always sings live, btw. If you listen closely, you can often hear the plosives - the P and B sounds, as well as his breathing. this was filmed for The Stage, SuJu's Shindong directing or producing. The undershirt and gloves are to hide his two new tattoos. Black Rose was released about a month ago.

Pleasantly surprised by this reaction! I watched your initial Black Rose one and it's been so long that I was thinking maybe the other guys wouldn't be watching it, so when I saw this I thought it'd be for Idea since Taemin just dropped it yesterday (and Act 2)! Definitely one of my favourites in Act 2 next to Criminal and 2 Kids.

“Obviously” not vocally live? Pshhh. 😂 Taemin is part of SHINee-they set the aptly-named SHINee Standard for singing live. He often sounds better live than recorded. I realize this reaction was quite a while back, and I hope you’ve learned more about his skill level by now. No hate-it’s incredibly rare to find an artist as impeccable and talented as he is… which is why he’s earned his title as KPOP Royalty. The only thing SHINee is notoriously bad at is lip syncing. They trained their voices and built endurance by singing whilst running so they wouldn’t have to worry about it and have been singing live since their debut in 2008.

It’s pretty obvious it’s not vocally live. If it is, the backing track is very loud. It’s physically impossible to move that sharply and jumping without it affecting your voice, especially when he’s singing very tenderly. This isn’t a hate comment tho, Taemin is my favorite artist and it’s completely understandable to not sing live when doing this intense choreography haha

heck yes. I adore criminal, but Black Rose stage was my absolute fav of NGDA Act 1. Please please check out Nemo stage as well for Taemin. No dancing, but those vocals for Nemo ARE live and absolutely amazing rnb.
