I think a lot of us feel out of love with makeup for 2018. I still liked it, but lost my motivation to play, or explore new items. Personally, I think it was because I was so bombarded with items, it was just overwhelming! I'd like to see brands go back to focusing on quality, not quantity, of products available.

yeah, with the way of people buying things changes, influencers and media have made for a huge uprise in hyper-consumerism culture. I'll admit I love trying new stuff, but it's important to use your earned money critically. "gurus" get majority of their makeup for free or are sponsored, so the average joe will be in serious debt if they try to emulate that.

It's not your typical "love" book but my favorite fiction book I read was "The Art of Racing in the Rain". It's a a book about the strong bond between a man and his dog and it's such a moving, heart warming book it had me in tears at the end and I NEVER cry from books. And I'm typically not a dog book kinda gal but this book was soooo good. It was also so symbolic and relatable.

Liv 789 it’s 3 reusable circular microfiber cloths, each can use up to 200 times!! But that’s if you wash it constantly in the washer machine and stuff, but I’d recommend you check it out on their website or check out Chloe Morelos’s face Halo video! She does a demo & talks about it. I’m in love with them, they honestly changed my life lol, it’s awesome!! My skin would get SO red & irritated no matter what and the face halo is literally a cloth that you wet & swipe on ur face & rub around and you’re good to go, so good! (Sorry did the long response) 😂

Ahhh I use these too, I bought it because I am very lazy with taking off my makeup and I didn’t wanna use single use face wipes. I find it struggles to take off my waterproof mascara so use a bit of coconut oil or my cleansing balm but it takes everything else off completely

Kathleen have you considered using reusable makeup removers pads ? You have such a great influence on people, it would be nice to sensibilise and talk about environment to your audience about how much waste we throw away every day... !! This is really the thing that I found is missing in the beauty community, its such an important subject for young audience and nobody really talks about it , even though beauty gurus have a huge influence on young people... Saying companies send big PR packages is not enough if youtubers keep using multiples plastic bottles on video, always a StarBucks non-reusable cup on the table, using straws... - From an environmental student in Canada, BIG LOVE XO

Look into reusable cotton rounds! I got mine on Amazon after realizing I was using 2-3 cotton rounds a day. I also use a microfiber makeup eraser dupe from Amazon to get the bulk of my face makeup off before cleansing!

Kenetrice Nichole you are the first person I have heard that likes it and I mean that completely seriously but I put a haha after because if it doesn’t work on me I couldn’t imagine it working on anyone else, I have really thin strands of hair and I have a very thin amount of hair and it left my hair a complete tangled mess to which I had to use another brand to untangle it. That astrology book she mentioned is really good. I also recommend Linda Goodman's Sun Signs and Linda Goodman's Love Signs. The first one talks very in depth about the characteristics of each sign and the second one about all the possible compatibility options between signs. They're quite old books (from the heyday of hippies, new age, etc.), but they're very well written and funny, so even if you don't quite believe in all this and you're just interested in it, it is still an enjoyable read ;)

Pro Tip: Don’t use makeup up wipes/micellar water on skin. All they do is swipe around makeup while irritating your skin/depositing oil onto it. Just double cleanse with a gentle face wash (Cerave,Purpose,etc) and your skin will be less irritated and less dry! My dermatologist recommended this (she said it’s fine to use a gentle eye makeup remover though) and even though I didn’t want to do it at first, my skin has felt so much better since!

Am I the only person who just absolutely does not remove my makeup with any type of makeup remover cloth or micellar water? I just can't stand feeling like I am wiping at my skin or tugging on it. I've tried so many different ones, but I feel like they are all the same and you end up wiping at your skin so I stopped buying them a long time ago. I just double cleanse my face after wearing makeup (I use a cleansing oil or balm first and then go in with my face cleanser). So much less harsh on the skin and completely removes all the makeup.

Kathleen I'm a curly girl too & I love the shea moisture coco leave in conditioner spray. For stylers honest to goodness the not your mother's curl creme (new bigger one with more natural ingredients only at Ulta) along with the same line curl mousse is THE best!!! You should try it out no alcohol in the mousse which is so great !!!

I use the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Melt Away Cleansing Balm and it's absolutely amazing. If you get the full-size product which has 3.2 fl. oz of product, it comes with a little spatula to scoop the product instead of using your fingers, unlike the smaller size. I love this product. For scalp exfoliation, try using old coffee grounds. I put the grounds into my shampoo. And then wash it out with plain shampoo. The oils in the coffee makes my hair so shiny and smooth.

Hi Kathleen, I really recommend using reusable cotton pads. We makeup lovers use makeup wipes and pads so often that it’s great to reduce our waste! It’s super easy to just pop the reusable pads along with our laundry and then they’re good to go. Just a thought. Love you and your videos. ♥️
