Hey guys! I’m going to hit up the lake soon. Any tips/lure suggestions for this time of year? Thanks!

They have been hitting them on blades and stick baits! They’re coming up shallower but they are being caught pretty much anywhere, boat or shore!

Just got back and weather made it choppy a few days but blade baits caught most walleyes as well as a few hefty drums. Casted shallows on the north shore area of Cleveland hoping for pikerel or bass and had 0 luck. Water was 80+. Caught one 'eye in 20ft on a rapala all others were 38 feet plus.

MAJohnson Sadly the eyes have been moving deeper, making rapala fishing tough

Heading there next week. Where to start?? Depths, colors, e.t.c. Putting in at Charlie's Livery. Any info appreciated!

If you haven't already gone, hammer spinners have been our best lure for walleye this year. Colors vary but we've found chartreuse green has been a solid choice. As for depths, 12 feet flats are the ideal location for finding these fish,

Went out on the new boat today no walleye but caught 10 pickerel in muskrat bay. Feel like the walleye were out deeper.

We also went out this week to that spot and caught just 6 pickerel. No walleyes in there for now at least.

Been wanting to fish this lake for a while , at what time of the year do you think they will head for deeper water? I like to troll with down riggers. I might get out in July or August, Thanks!

Thanks for the question Randall! If you want to fish Oneida Lake, this is definitely the year to do so. We have over one-million walleye in the lake as of 2020, and they are heading for deeper water right now. A friend of ours caught his limit in 39 feet of water this week. Good luck fishing and let us know how you do!

They look more like a northern pike than a walleye
@nakedtruthoutdoors86428 ай бұрын
We only caught one walleye, (the fish in the thumbnail) the rest were all pickerel.

Those are not walleyes
