NON-STOP ACTION! VEDDER/CHILLIWACK RIVER TROUT FISHING

Hello, Vedder/Chilliwack river is not known for trout fishing. However, it can be easily target by locating a run off leading to a deep pool. It is great fishery for kids and really anyone!
Simple float setup:
-6ft spinning rod and reel (does not have to be expensive at all)
-20g float
-Weight
-Size #6 hook (No barbs)
-Worms or shrimp
-Fish ON!

Wow that water is soo clear. I fished that hole this fall for coho and springs and almost didn’t recognize it. That log on the left took a couple of my jigs 😒😒

cool footage! but out of curiosity how do you know whether it might be a juvenile steelhead? i heard that if you are targeting "trout" in the vedder system in Aug/Sept the steelhead's should be out of the vedder by then ...I guess it doesn't really matter if you aren't going to bonk it.

The fishery don't want hatchery "rainbow" in the system. If the hatchery steelhead haven't left the river by this point, they likely won't leave to become steelhead and will compete with resident rainbow trout for resources
