It's funny. With streaming being a major source for entertainment in my life , I miss out on a lot of broadcast commercials. From time to time, I'll find myself watching network TV, whether it be in a waiting room, the gym, or a relative's house. In these instances, I'll pay extra attention to the commercials as if it were my moment to get caught up on the current events in capitalist America. I guess I have a momentary fear that without these opportune moments, I'll miss out on what the latest (proper) way to wash clothes, or what number follows the the "F" in the latest of Ford's F-series of trucks. You know, it's my get out from under the rock moment. I take it all in, baby! However, I nearly cancelled my Amazon Prime subscription the other day because It forced me to watch a 2-minute ad spot before playing my show.

You sound like Cleveland Brown on why he doesn't skip commercials: "Look, these ad men are doing all sorts of research on what we wanna buy and then they’re putting descriptions of the products on during the shows they know we’re gonna watch. They’re going shopping for us! Fast forward through the commercials? Fast forward to your bedtime."
