Can a regular USB cable (Red, White, Green and Black (ground) be used? Your cable has an additional Black (shield ground), or will there be interference without it?

Only one port can work at a time. You connected the device to the front USB, the rear USB will no longer work. Moreover, if you refitted the rear USB, the front USB will no longer work for carplay, Android auto and MP3 playback, and can only be used for charging

I see 2 Small metal thingys on each side. My old radio has Them as well but my new one doesnt. Where do u get those?

Same on my newly purchased radio. To me it seems that the radios which came with those 2 small metal rails are genuine VW radios but the ones which came without those are chinese copies (aftermarket).
