My favourites from malayalam cinema are Attam, Brahmayugum, Malaikottai vaaliban, Premalu, Avesham, Rifle Club, Manjummel boys. Attam is super underrated as a film. Malaikottai vaaliban deserves more appreciation.

Couldn't agree with u more about Valiban and family. It was disappointing reading the negative comments about these films especially Family. People were calling it boring and had a terrible climax. It's as if they completely missed the point of the film. It was beautiful and almost unnervingly haunting to watch, each frame. Loved the film.👍👍
