There is an old BBC interview of his with Karan Thapar, I like that interview of his, you should check it out, its way more personal, indepth, focused, and you can see the Mammotty of Today in that inerview clearly is vision came true about him and cinema, and its Karan Thapar in his BBC era always a joy to watch.

Have you watched Kandukondein Kandukondein with Mammooty Aish Tabu and Ajith. Its a Tamil movie based on Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility and Mammooka plays one of the most lovable characters of his career named Bala. Highly recommended movie - fanatastic performances from all cast members and the music is evergreen.

Mamooty didnt used to be such humble, and he himself have said in an interview that he is a narcissistic person, and that an actor have to narcissistic otherwise they will lose themselves. Which is fair when you think about it. Mamooty has matured a lot since those days. He is now well deserving of his title Mega Star.

One of the best interviews that I have ever seen. I feel the Indian media especially the Kerala media needs to upskill themselves and have such a line of questioning instead of making the stars sit in the middle and let other co actors praise them constantly. I have seen many interviews of Mammootty and he has a certain swag while he answers. This interview shows a different side of Mammootty. People who have been following Mammootty's filmography definitely understand he doesnt have boundaries in any of his story selections. He lets go off the superstar image and completely adapts to the character. Be it Amaram or Vidheyan, Sooryamanasam, Paleri Manikyam, and even the male alpha/comedy roles that he has been part of. He is not a born actor but has crafted his way of acting. The reason of his longevity is purely because of the passion he has for movies and the extent he goes to perform. Hence you see young film makers being more comfortable to cast him rather than any other superstar. At this age, all he is doing is checking every box because he has nothing to lose and everything coming his way now is a bonus and he is making full use of it. Trust me, another 2 years; you will see a different version of Mammootty and many such appreciations outside Kerala & India are going to come his way.

I think he brought in a bit of the wisdom one would get as he gets old. He was throwing gems of that all around during the interview. More like talking to a sage at times. But important point is the when Mammuka was detailing about the 'remembering' part, the guy who was interviewing kept quiet, like he want to let it flow from that wisdom. No interruptions.

We malayalis are very much open minded to us being called mallus or malabaris or keralites. That's why we make movies with different contents & make them successes. We all have to be SELF- CRITICAL or else we'll be very narrow minded in our perspectives.

Plz don't take this in a wrong way. Seeing you for a long time, u r someone who does your stuff so passionately and seriously. I have seen pupil with half your potential and quality with more subscribers. Don't take this as a disrespect. I am saying this out of respect. Once pupil watch your videos they will like it. I don't know. May be some controversial titles will help. That ll make more pupil watch ur videos. Once they watch ur stuff, most are going to like it.

Oh common Nona, owning the title is much better than just being a pseudo woke correcting everyone, check out the song "I'm a Mallu" by Rinosh George, No other linguistic community in India ever had or has a theme song like that owning themself. and Now the viral sensation Aavesham has song Illuminati with verses calling FaFa as Mallu-minati. If Mallu's dont mind it why do we have be conscious about ? Or is teenage Nona comes back hearing the term "mallu" and all the naughty online searches growing up😈😈🤣🤣..
