Damn, I can't believe that even did the thumbnail poses for real. I thought it just be some computer-generated 3d model posing, but no, they had to have Sui-chan do the poses and put the 3d model on top of it, that is some dedication to make it more genuine and real.

Creating a realistic pose in MMD or other 3D software, is so difficult that it is almost impossible. It would just be easier to get a body double to pose, but even then it might not have the perfect body language and facial language, and could be noticed as not the same person. If you look at a hololive member possessing the model of another member, you can very easily tell from their microexpressions that they arent that model's actor. The human intuition and ability to understand the micro expressions of a face is absolutely incredible.

It's just easier to have Suisei pose and basically just screen shot it than have someone pose the character in 3D in a program.

@@kurokonatsuki3170 I was about to post the same thing. Since they already have the mocap technology they can just take a screenshot, and that sounds more efficient than having a 3D artist crafting various poses on a computer to see if they look good (and easier than superimposing the 3D model on Sui's image).

I don't think it is necessarily the text making it look cool/stylish but I can definitely imagine it looking weird/arkward in person. The abstraction via model instead of it being the person themselves does lessen the arkwardness and increase the coolness I think.

Considering she was already recording using all the related gear, it only makes sense and saves time, to make a thumbnail with her posing. Tho to be honest, she was right, the pose is rather strange, it looks better for her second video, but the first one was weird. Probably trying a pose similar to a few other previous TFT female artists but they wanted to go fancy since shes virtual.
