This was a great video, loved seeing how they set up their raised vegetable patch and where everything was planted. Thanks for sharing and thanks Nonna and Pa for agreeing to be on camera. After reading all the comments I hope this becomes a regular gig you'll enjoy sharing.

I just feel so happy seeing the love and respect between a daughter in law and her non a...it’s pure gold..and so unusual in a world where mother’s in laws are seen as the “villain”. Pure gold. And I love your garden and recipes. Can I come by and have a cuppa? But I live in the subtropical north of NSW. Keep growing the love.
@ChristieCooper24 күн бұрын
Yep, I often think of how lucky I am. I wouldn't be gardening at all if it weren't for these two! Would love to have you over for a cuppa any time Carol, bring some of that lovely northern warmth with you please ;)

I was really looking forward to this episode and you did not disappoint. This was really interesting. Please ask them to contribute again too. Also, they both look so healthy and are a great advertisement for growing and eating our own produce, I was so sad to hear of her breast cancer journey. I can only imagine how beneficial the natural vitamins and minerals in their home grown produce has had in the healing process. I am so envious of those gorgeous raised beds.

Glad you enjoyed it Anne, I’ve passed on your comment to them! We were all very relieved when Mary got the all-clear from the oncologist after finishing treatment. This Videl took me a lot longer to edit than usual but seems to have been worth it 😊

We really loved watching Nonna and Pa’s garden. It was nice to learn from their good Melbourne vegetable garden tips. They seem to have a wealth of knowledge that we all love to glean from. Keep up the good work Christie!

What a surprise episode! Please keep giving us updates of your in-laws garden. I'd also like to get more info on Nonna's preserving. I tend to grow quite a lot of produce here in Perth, but I fail when it comes to preserving the excess and it tends to land in the compost bin! Gary

I’m in SA and I leave capsicum in the ground, cut them back at the beginning of spring and they grow quickly and produce a lot faster than starting seedlings again

I’ve done that with some of mine this year and they’re developing a lot of new growth already! Hope yours bring you lots of capsicums 🤞🏼

I really love this! Wanted to follow a garden chanel in Melbourne. So happy I found you. Where does your nonna get her seedlings from?
@ChristieCooper Жыл бұрын
Hi Melissa, most of these came from QP Seedlings, they’re based in Werribee but send out their seedlings through the mail. Otherwise they use a combination of the local nursery, Bunnings, and growing their own from seed. Glad you enjoyed it! I’ll be sharing my own garden tour in the next day or two 😊

Hi I saw you planting an avocado seed one thing you have to put the seed w/ roots down not on the side and the bit looks like stick up hope that makes sense. Also you can put the seed in pot make sure you put the point bit up and the more round bottom then wait have fan watching grow .hope that helps
@ChristieCooper Жыл бұрын
Thanks Maria! 😊 The roots were all around it which made it hard to work out which was the obvious “down” but this helps!
