Im not understanding something… im not the best at maths but at 4:00 when VP says about making a 31.5% return across 4 markets, i thought that it wouldnt be 31.5% because instead of adding them shouldnt you find the mean average? Like if you allocated an equal amount of money to 4 markets and they returned 10%, 10%, 10% and 1.5%, then shouldnt you divide 31.5 by 4 equalling a 7.875% increase of your overall portfolio?

The best way to get leverage on indices using the regular stock market if you don’t have access to CFD’s is options that are near expiration on leveraged etfs like TQQQ. A call or put a few point out of the money can go from a value of $50 to $1000 or more by the end of the day. You don’t really need a stop loss. I consider the value of the option contract my risk if it expires out of the money without you closing the position.

Thanks for this video. Yep I'm an CFD index trader, S&P is my favourite with a return of 1.5 - very tight spread in Asian session and also it doesn't have the volatility as other indices. I also trade the DAX30 - as it is volatile and moves a lot. I have a return of 1.3 , the DAX whipsaws a lot more. Hang Seng is also a favourite, but my strategy isn't working so good on that one. I gave up the ASX200, as it's sideways at present.

Hi VP, thanks for another great video, I love what you are doing! One thing I don't get though is at minute 03:40 when you says that the more you add markets the more you increase your returns. If you have 400 of capital and you trade 100 across each of the four listed markets and deliver the illustrative returns you mentioned, you finish the year with: 100 x (1+10%) + 100 x (1+10%) + 100 x (1+1.5%) 100 x (1+10%) = 431.5. This is the same as trading any single market with your entire 400 capital and deliver a 7.9% return. I don’t see how you would get to 31.5%. Am I missing something? PS: I assumed we are trading with no leverage to keep the example simple, but the outcome would be the same if we are trading with the same level of leverage across markets
@NoNonsenseForex5 жыл бұрын
If you had 4 separate accounts for all 4 of those instruments this would be the case. My example (and it was a rough example) was if you were to trade everything under one account.
@Shaker6115 жыл бұрын
@@NoNonsenseForex Ok, got it. You could actually even replicate the results of trading everything from a single account by calculating your risk/positions size off the combined balance of your four different accounts. Turning that the other way around, you could also achive the same returns by trading my hypothetical 7.9% system on a single instrument by taking 4% risk per trade instead of 1% (which of course is not recommended to do!). Thank you very much for clarifying VP, you rock!

I believe you have to find a broker that has mini or micro lots, here in Brazil the smallest broker lot sizes is 1 too ... but I found the same index on an international broker with CFD. Another option is to increase venture capital so that its 2% is equivalent to your broker's default lot size 1, but it turns out to be very complicated to increase venture capital so quickly.

The 31.5% return example implies that there's no opportunity cost, though. The ability to sum those profits depends on how much (or how little) potential trades across different markets would overlap.
@NoNonsenseForex5 жыл бұрын

@DavidePasca5 жыл бұрын
No Nonsense Forex, got it, thanks !
@pkundrat3 жыл бұрын
The overlap is not the main issue here. You cannot add percentages like this. If you have 10% in 3 different markets, you do not get 30% profit - because you dont use the same money for those gains. 10% on 3 different markets put together is still get 10%, otherwise you could invest 3x times more into the single market and supposedly gain 30% (which only works with leverage where you borrow money and count % from the money you invest).
