I agree with your order of things. 1. Bus - that looks like fun and not a bad price for luxury. 2 - Plane - expensive and just a hassle getting through airport security..etc. 3 - Train - Nothing special here, slow and a lot of transfers. Thanks for the review 😊

Yeah. Plane flight in ASEAN still bearable, as it tend to be less hassle and brisked, compared to one have to get trough TSA in US. Forget the train, since your starting point is JB point. The waiting lines on the border can be insane at times, and you haven't even step into the train station yet.

Thank you for the re-release of this video. I’m all for the narrated videos now lol. Personally I’d try all 3 modes. If I had to do the trip regularly I’d end up flying if I could afford it. Or else the train. I don’t really enjoy long coach trips. But that’s just me.

I would take the train or bus simply to see some of the countryside enroute & actually being in the city upon arrival. Of course if time was important it would probably be the plane option. Once again a very good video, thanks.

At this point, the train is the least desirable, as you have to switch trains a couple of times from JB point to KL. Because some of the lines aren't electric... yet.

Just a heads up: if you're taking the plane route, another option is to take KLIA Transit to Putrajaya station, then transfer using the MRT2 line from Putrajaya Sentral to Ampang Park station. Then it's approx 10 mins walk to KLCC/Twin Towers. Or if you prefer less walking and have a bit more time to spare, transit again at Ampang Park station using the Kelana Jaya line to KLCC. It's just the next stop.

I totally agree that taking the bus is the best option for Singapore-KL. However, going the other direction, I would lean more towards taking a flight back rather than the bus. Traffic at the Singapore-Malaysia border can be very bad, depending on the season. A couple of weeks back, I departed KL at 12 noon but only arrived in Singapore after 9pm. Plane tickets between the two cities can also be very cheap if you go with a low-cost airline. It is just a 45minute flight after all. Just the other day, I managed to snag plane tickets for S$28 one-way. The train from KL Sentral to KLIA actually cost more than the plane tickets themselves.

I think his video is usually the non-peak hours. I have to agree the jam southbound is not very well controlled (whether at Tuas or Woodlands) on the Malaysian side. Not too sure about Tuas but for Woodlands, alot of construction is going on with the RTS link etc. For Singaporeans, use Autogate whenever possible. For other nationalities who can, I will advise coming to Singapore, then somehow find non-peak hours to navigate into the Autogate system over 2 days. For other nationalities that have to use manual counters... best of luck, especially at Tuas (I dont have the best impression of Malaysian Tuas counters, though correct me if Im wrong - I havent been to KL via Tuas for many years already). MDAC and Autogate: imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main

I have taken the bus before (twice) from KL to Singapore and while the journey itself was pretty decent, just be prepared for last minute stuff to happen. On my second trip, Transtar cancelled the bus I was booked on and while they made arrangements to collect me from the original stop at the original time, it ended up being annoying as I didnt know what service theyve put me on until 5 mins before departure when they decided that my bus (the one they sent to pick me up) was going to be the replacement service after all. Also, buses will make sense most of the time but if you end up departing either Singapore or KL either anytime after midday or after 4pm (KL and Singapore respectively), you will hit the border crossing rush hour so the slotted 7 hr trip may turn to something like 8-9 hrs if the border crossing takes forever and you have to queue up with all your baggage with you on both sides (no leaving anything on the bus).

My understanding is that there will not be a train from Singapore ever again as they have closed the line from JB. This is a sad indictment of the priority some rail networks have. Having said that, I would probably say if I wasn't in a hurry, I would go with the train first, bus second and then the plane if speed was of the essence. I'm not a fan of air travel. but participate in it due to time restraints. Land transport is best option as you actually get to see the land you pass through (unless it's a sleeper train.. :) )
@richard-riku

it's really an indictment that Singapore and Malaysia don't want to do anything that might benefit the other country. It's as if they have made it as difficult as possible to travel between the two capitals. And they already cleared the site in Singapore for the now cancelled high speed train to KL !

I love eating on trains !! Lol. More than airplanes...I get stomach issues often on planes ! I always order vegan meals on my flight ,albeit I am not vegan. I am a vegetarian. I used to be vegan a long time ago. Airplane meals are very high calories with tons of preservatives. So ,I know even many meat eaters order vegan meals on planes ! I have never been to either countries !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
