Very good but the example with CO is not the best choice since CO also shifts the curve down... Better example is Fetal hemoglobin ...

Sir i have a doubt. You say that carbon monoxide increases affinity for oxygen in haemoglobin. But isnt carbon monoxide itself suppose to attach with haemoglobin( forming carboxyhaemoglobin ) and prevent oxygen combining.

Do partial pressure of O2 affects the shifting of curve

the curve is recorded at different pressure of O2 itself. The partial pressure is fundamental factor to produce the curve whether shifted or not. Then we study effect of different factors how they affect O2 saturation at different partial pressures. I hope you are getting it.
