Something what? He was an average or worse defender. He had zero seasons with 30+ PPG or 8+ APG. Yes, he was a very very good offensive player, with charisma and flashy moves, but far away from the "biggest what if" category. There are players with better career stats than his prime averages.

I remember playing 2k11 with my cousin. I don't remember who he played with. But I scored more than 60 points with D-Rose while his whole team only had like 20. I spammed the heck out of the spin move and once that animation started, there was no stopping it. I used to spam D-Rose in 2k11 so much so that I was in the top 11 in their biweekly online ranking. Spin, spin, dunk! :D What's more incredible is that D-Rose was not far off those combos in real life. He was truly a treasure to witness. I miss that era 😢

This might have something to do with it... even if you weren't dominating.. thinking he'd probably lose that if he stopped. He was also unlikely to get paid from playing after those injuries unfortunately Rose debuted his first signature sneaker, the Adidas Adizero Rose 1, in 2011, the same year he was named the NBA‘s MVP at just 22 years old for a record that still stands today. A year later, him and Adidas locked down a reported 14-year, $185 million extension that’s kept him well-paid
