Jimmy Butler deserves respect for going from homeless to NBA superstar player. I think people like Kobe Bryant and Jimmy Butler, who demand strictness from themselves and others, really choose their team.

The fact that the Butler led an 8 seed all the was to the Finals for it the second time in NBA history is one of the greatest accomplishments ever

Led????.... Ha . Im from Miami and watch the Miami Heat religiously. He aint all that. He is undependable. He gives up his responsibilites. He lacks that killer drive to finnish.
@DerekCormier-rn2kvАй бұрын
What do you mean by giving up on his responsibility? At least explain wtf you're commenting about. Butler goes hard all the time and he is a proven winner. You're just a fanboy trying to seem like some sort of basketball guru or something.
@spongeaang986 ай бұрын
I hated seeing my Bucks bounced out of the playoffs so early, but I've ALWAYS respected and loved Jimmy's game even during his Bulls days. He was always deemed a cancer for simply wanting to win and there's a reason he's led the Heat to two Finals in his career despite not being a superstar. Every team that forced him out is all the worse for it and it's clear his leadership is appreciated in a winning culture. He WILL win a ring one day and I'm gonna love it.
@jacobbarnett35145 ай бұрын
I would love to see him win a ring but he doesn’t have that many years left now I don’t see how he wins in the next couple seasons, they need a bit of luck for once !

He's the kind of player that will be remembered for the dog he was, rather than a ring. I would still like him to win one, of course.

@@jacobbarnett3514 If Pat Riley and the Heat ownership bring cheap asses weren't getting in the way, they'd have had a superstar like Dame join them and they would easily have a shot to do so. But there is still time for him to get there. The Heat are still looking strong and they lost more players this season too.

How Jimmy was homeless but then taken in by a family with 7 kids. A white "mum" takes ina a homeless black boy - has me in tears. This is so beneficial for humanity.... Jimmy Butler's WHOLE life is changed by a mother and family's generosity and love..... These small amazing acts of love are how communities and societies are brought together.

Well I don't know if you've noticed but some of her kids from her first marriage are half black so it's not like she's not used to seeing a black man. I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying I'm saying it's not like she's never been used to being around a black man. The rest was Jimmy just being a great kid and her just being a great woman.

As a Bulls fan, I miss him every day I watch the pathetic excuse of a “big 3” we have currently. Things would’ve definitely been different if we had an owner who cared and a GM who isn’t incompetent and surrounded him with talented players who care instead of trading away the only one who did. He and Rose were my childhood, I’ll always cherish that team
@S3verusMyG5 ай бұрын
that old bulls team fs wouldve won atleast a chip with a healthy rose, joakim, and butler
@whyicare3 ай бұрын
Back then, the Bulls had all the pieces to win a championship, They had Gasol, Noah, Rose, Gibson, Butler. But they couldn't beat the Heats. After that season, Tom T was fired and replaced by Fred Hoiberg. Everything went downhill from there. They played for one more season and then the team was disbanded.

As a Bulls fan, I have just one issue the video. You downplayed Thibs and Luol's influence. Thibs absolutely loved Butler and wanted him in the draft and saw him as way more than an "end of the bench guy." As far as Luol, I'll let Jimmy speak: “Lu taught me so much about the game and being a pro. I was very fortunate to be able to learn from him. He’s just an incredible, incredible human being. [...] He did a lot for this organization and obviously did a lot for me. In this organization, I was able to be around so many good people, him being at the top of the list.”

I remember when Jimmy first announced his trade to Miami. At Philly (Where I am) there was a BARRAGE of Tweets roasting and laughing at his decision since I believe the Heat missed the Playoffs in 2019 with an Old Dwayne Wade. My Sixers got swept and Jimmy's Heat made the Finals. My Sixers Management was rather and still is rather Boneheaded in making decisions 😅

In life..children who have it very hard in their beginning of their life are who usually excell the most... Reaching their goals in life by working hard for it ,is mostly appreciated greatly than those who have everything handed on a silver/gold platter. I think Hollywood should do a movie about JB. It is so tear jerking to see how a homeless 13-year old boy who never gave up on himself and a foster mom who accepted and cared about him. You know JB is not your typical basketball player who is tattooed all over his body. I don't see any tattoo on his arms. I think he used his childhood hardship to motivate to be the best he can be.
