Strong Parents, family values with loyalty and no divorce, 5000 year old culture, blessings of our ancestors and most importantly working hard to earn what we deserve are the reasons for the success of Indians across the globe. Humility and kindness are embedded in Indian culture, wish the Netflix generation of India understands the importance of all of the above and not forget our roots

@@J7pat7 Bravo! What a comparison!! People at the top, which is very selective few VS bottom of pyramid, which is anyways largest in any country. For ex- USA has 37 million people in poverty, and 10 million employers (and most small employers don't have a CEO). So US there are more poor people than number of CEOs in US, hence US is also not doing well by your definition. None of the countries in world are doing well. Where do u throw away the logic? Did you throw it away along with ur brain and grades in 5th class at school ?

I’m an Indian working in software field for a long time in US. We are indeed good workers but less of original thinkers. The ones who are CEOs from India mostly are original thinkers. I would say an American is good at original thinking and brave to step forward. Indian think 1000 times before making a step. That’s part of the culture. As an Indian I would ask my country men to learn from American. The spirit of entrepreneurship. The can do attitude. Celebrate failure but learn.

Another reason is, unlike the Chinese who always have a hidden love for their motherland, the Indians remain faithful to the company and to the US constitution. No stealing of company secrets too, I may add.

Indians too have a strong love for their motherland but they have a very pious association with their "karma-bhumi" which in simple modern terms mean "place of work". Our culture worships Karma as the highest form of human actions and Karma-bhumi at a similar pedestal as motherland. hence loyalty for our work place comes very naturally to us.

I got a job in Portland Oregon. I was newly married. They took us on picnics and treated us well. They sponsored us to become US Citizen. No I was not treated like Pizza man. In my profession, jobs last only as long as the project. So I have had several jobs. That was good. The same old becomes boring. At 90 I say, "I have done everything my heart desired". Can not say that about Snatana Dharna. I was an Arya samaji. Truthfully, I do not know the difference. There's nothing special about Indians or their culture. If Indians are intellectually superior, with 1.4B people they'd win all the Nobel prizes in Physics and Medicine, they'd be the first country to put a man on Mars, the first to cure AIDS, the first to invent new technologies. They don't do any of those. They have only one Nobel laureate in STEM in the past 35 years, and he doesn't even live in India (he lives in the UK). They are good at copying ideas and doing them cheaper (like the Chinese), not at innovating

The space race was composed of Hungarian refugees, Ukrainian dissidents, Chinees and of course Indians/ Did I forget polish mathematicians? I was 24 years old new hire in Portland. I knocked at the door of the CEO, and told him I could do a difficult problem he was grappling with. At 24 I designed a 26 story building. This can not happen in any other country. Why? USA has no tradition. No Mahabharata, No Ramayana, No Quran, No Bible. "You have got the money honey, I have got the time" Note: The best music on UTube is produced by none other than COKE STUDIO A case in favor of "profit motive" I can at the age of 89 say, I have done everything my heart desired. I could not have in any other country. Especially INDIA. Undoubtedly, others are better than me. They have done more. To India I owe one thing. This is from Tagore in Gitanjali "Those who love me like to hold me secure. But your love is INFINITE for you keep me free" Some question on if it will always be like this in future? But fortunately, I live in the present.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. Here is a list of Indian CEOs who didn’t go to IIT. In fact, they form the majority here in the US and the market cap of these companies' combined non-IITs heading is much more than those headed by them from the IIT. Satya Nadella (mentioned in the video) - Microsoft Ajaypal Singh Banga - Mastercard Shantanu Narayen - Adobe Laxman Narasimhan - Reckitt Benckiser Sanjay Mehrotra - Micron George Kurian - NetApp Indra Nooyi (Former Pepsi CEO) also isn’t an alumnus of IIT. Just sharing this because IIT obsession will become less and appreciation of value creation will be more irrespective of where they graduate from

@@motei1853 I don't know what you are here to prove, Indian government doesn't play politics to get back their Talent. It believes in whole world as one, well CCP played well in 2001 to get back all the Talent which I personally appreciate, but you can't say Indians don't form the company. Indian startup system is fastest growing one and would be for the next decade the pace to add unicorn is way higher than China. Also it's all about economy, China grew earlier than us as simple as that, but given the slowing economy you should not boast much about China, India on the other hand is adding 45 unicorn every year and with much higher growth predictions ahead you will see this growth to be more faster. Also Indians are the largest startup founder in USA as well. India is in the same position which you were in 2001-2005 as easy as you can understand but on the other hand India is more open to all countries and also our population will not decline that fast as it was organic growth and decline unlike the draconian law implemented by China. So believe me India is not China but much more than that. Chinese investment can be easily seen where it took all the countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, African nation, do you want more examples, it is good that India rejected this bound to be failure Chinese investment.. haa.. haa.

My take on this: 1. India has a very long tradition of trade and business, as a continuous civilisation of 10,000-15,000 YEARS. There are castes in India who are only focused on business and nothing else--The MARWARI, BANIYAS....genetic generational development of business. 2. Indians share the Protestant work ethic. They can work very very hard in applying themselves. In many cases. 3. With Brahmin Hindus, they are the teachers and priests of the Hindu community, so when they go into other fields their vast knowledge in Hindu scriptures, together with Western education gives them a unique insight into how things work. I don't know what percentage of Indian CEO'S in USA are Brahmin. 4. India has been a very rich country for most of human history. 5. The fact that the average Indian is very poor, and the country underdeveloped is due to the huge civil war INITIATED by Emperor Aurangazeb 1660-1761, AND THE CONSEQUENT BRITISH RULE OF India, at the tail end of the civil war based on religion.. India after 75 years is still under the colonial yoke which HINDERS ITS TRUE DEVELOPMENT, and why talented Indians take their skills outside of the country. s

You are right in your assessment. You seem Indian and I want to congratulate you for your Knowledge. And for the part India being under a Colonial rule still after the Independence. India is not free and no developing nation is. Democracy is good but it comes with it flaws. Flaws which can be misused. Internal Weak point can be pressed. Enemies can be funded. All and all Public opinion can be changed which directly weakens the democracy. Dictatorship is good in this regard but the chances of Dictator going rogue are not less either.. So for the most part of our Independent History, Our buttons were being pushed by the West. And later it was not being pushed directly but such Conditions were created that we on own had to push the buttons as the West liked. But after 2000 I think another India started to emerge. I say after the Pokhran Testing. I hope good hopes for the System but I have lost hope in People.

That's a fascinating point! Albert Einstein himself acknowledged the significance of the Hindu zero and the decimal system in his work. He once said: "How much has been accomplished in mathematics, astronomy, and philosophy in India, and how much has been done in the grandeur of architecture and in the art of sculpture! How much has been done in the search for knowledge and in the conquest of the unknown! And yet, we in the West have only a very vague idea of this wonderful country." He also recognized the importance of the Hindu zero, stating: "The introduction of the zero is of inestimable importance. It is a mark of the highest intelligence, and it has had a profound influence on the development of mathematics and science." In essence, Einstein acknowledged that the Hindu zero and the decimal system were crucial to his own work and the development of modern science and mathematics. He recognized that the concept of zero, which originated in ancient India, was a fundamental aspect of human thought and culture, and that it had far-reaching implications for our understanding of the universe and our place in it. Without the Hindu zero, many of Einstein's groundbreaking discoveries, such as his theory of relativity and the famous equation E=mc², might not have been possible. The Hindu zero and decimal system provided a foundation for mathematical and scientific inquiry that Einstein built upon, and his work continues to shape our understanding of the universe today.

@@ABC-rg1tt I’m glad you did not see the irony in your reply. You are in a way correct in that it’s a problem of communication to the masses as they are enslaved. The cast system is the most ingenious system ever created by man. It darkens the mind of the enslaved themselves.

@@TheEndevour2010 first of all there was never a slavery problem but a discrimnation problem and i am telling a ground thought that usually all lower caste people where hunting and gathering most of there time in forest and settledthere or OBCs where doing cattle thing, and there where no more than 30 or 40 student for each brahmin to teach as there was no mic or something like that so even brahmin where not educated sometime and depended on family knowledge only,so please before making some favour atleast think all circustances

i am an indian and i appreciate this analysis however , to me, indian brain is much more advanced , beyond wat we could fathom actualy. Ancient India was advanced in a dimension unknown mankind, its beyond perceptions of time and space. The ancient indian sciences considered the entire universe as part of our daily existence and realised the sphere of existence of a human life much beyond wat meets the eye.

The journalism sector in the West is one place where Indians have not gained any significant foothold. I mean, there are many Indians working for British News Agencies in London, but none of them are in the top positions (or maybe very few of them are which I am not yet aware of). But very soon even that will happen!

Had it not been Satya Nadella, Microsoft would have been a stagnant company. Look at the growth of Microsoft since him. Same goes for Pachai. Many of the Indian CEOs were the founders and that’s why they are CEOs. Others gave close to 20 years of their lives to be where they are. Nobody has been accused of being incompetent. Almost all of them are literally one in a million. All of them are brilliant people and totally deserve their positions.

A word from an Indian immigrant.(i came here as a foreign student in Univ. of Washington in 1958) My mother when I was a teenager, called me and gave me a lecture. She explained to me that the Indian tradition was based on our Cultural texts. The VEDAS. The word Veda translates in English to "Knowledge". People can rob you, and take all your belonging, but one thing they can not take away from you. YOUR KNOWLEDGE. She pointed out and asked me to look at all the Fools who had come to conquer India had left empty handed. (That was Alexanders last wish per internet) At 90 I am longing to be the next CEO. Blame my mother. One of the Vedas was a partial product of my forefather. That makes it worse. I have done everything my heart desired. (Giving credit to the USA) Remember, it is not enough. Why? Because unlike mere mortals, I live in Eternity.. Many life times. So i say to my Children LIFE BEGINS AT 90.

There are some very deep factors behind this phenomenon. Yes there are many Indian CEOs and also Indians at top positions in the west. The main factor that leads to this is a very old culture and resilience that Indians have had after being plundered and looted for decades. The British (when they were colonisers, not the British Govt of today) systematically destroyed the wealth india had, and left india with a very painful beraucracy to deal with even after the country’s independence. This lead to people having no choice but to work hard, and also Indians have a deep rooted culture of respect, and hard work. I hope to see Indians always shine, and also would like to thank all the companies and countries around the world for giving Indians the opportunity to show their potential. Now hopefully india itself will have an economy at par with the biggest countries and create a model economy in the country itself.

The Hindu philosophy has 2 aspects that everyone learns as kids through immediate family or society.. One is 4 pillars of living, focusing on these 4 pillars namely Dharma, artha, kaam, moksha. Understand what you want to do (Dharma), earn your living well(artha) and enjoy your earnings (kaam) to attain a spiritually highest goals in life (moksha). Secondly a belief that all living beings are one and Truth always wins.
