Noob's alt in MK9 is basically Bi-Han's Sub-Zero look but black, and it looks awkward because there's no longer that blue and black-contrast between the headpiece and mask.

Yeah Noob`s default MK9 costume is still the best tbh. Perfect combination between the "executioner" and "classic ninja" aesthetic. Also, shoutout to vanilla MK3, where they straight up just turned him into Kano for whatever reason.

Kinda mixed on Noob now. At the beginning he was just kinda there with a silly yet cute name if you get the joke. Once Deception came out and add the retcon revelation with OG Sub-Zero Bi Han, that made him infinitely more interesting and recolored the character’s entire history. Now though it seems like Bi Han becoming Noob is almost like a destiny of sorts and always ensuring that Bi Han will be an evil bastard from the get go.

I loved how MK11 made a little more distinction between Noob and his shadow. Making Noob a little more purple and inky while the shadow was just black. And of course sheathing his sickle by just stabbing it through his body with a portal.

Fun fact when noob saibot appeared in MK2 he played like his brother Kuai and in the UMK3 they had to use Kano’s fighting style before trilogy effectively gave him his own fighting palette. My favorite skin for noob is MK9 Saibot.

A neat thing about the MK9 classic costume is that if you used the alternate color for it, saibot would be colored like Smoke instead of looking like he usually does, very much black.

Saw this live, was hilarious especially when he looked up MK Conquest Noob-Saibot. LOL🤣 If you saw his twitch stream then you know haha. Noob's MK9 default to me is easily on par with Ermac's MK9 Alternate. I wouldn't say Noob was a joke character so much as a nod to Boon and Tobias not taken too seriously til they gave him lore. Now a real Joke character, Mokap and Bo Rai Cho lol....pure freaking joke characters like Dan Hibiki from SF series, just silly haha.

I think MK1 Noob has the capacity to grow on me. The drastic departure from being a clone character is quite clear, and Saibot's Wraith actually looks like its design is channeling Deception and Armageddon's design. The green is an interesting touch though, almost corrupted. Feels like the contrast to Sub Zero is being exaggerated, so I kinda dig that.

The designs that you like are a lot like the Phatasm, a batman villain with their own animated movie (since it's part of the Batman the Animated Series). it's got the hood, mask, and sickle/claw that makes them look like a grim reaper (they're an assassin).

Noob was perfect in MK11. I loved both his base designs from MK9 and MK11 but MK11's customization allowed you to make a mix of the two. The Dark Automaton skins for Noob were the best. My MK11 Noob was a mix between his MK classic Ninja look from MK9 and his grim reaper/wraith look from MK11. I'm severly disappointed in how he appears in MK1.
