He is so sterile, I fucking hate his new model. The old Illidan model somehow radiated more character, his portrait fitted the voice perfectly, and his constant waving and slashing with his blades made him look alive and dangerous as his character suggests. The random yoga moves, and stretching his back gave us the impression of a man who has truly been captive in a small cage for eternity while still maintaining combat readiness and preserving mental stability. In this however... he looks like he has a massive butt-plug inserted. Godawful. Give me the old graphics back, they were outdated but they were made with passion and love and it tells.

Too small team + far too tight development schedule. Reforged team completely underestimated the amount of work it would have required for them to remake +4 hours of these cutscenes, so they scrapped those plans.... And Activision-Blizzard ofc didnt give them more resources or more development time to pull it off. They dont care about a remaster of 18 year old RTS game, they want most of Blizzard Entertainment employees to work on new and more profitable games like Diablo IV and Overwatch 2, so they treated Reforged as "2nd rate project" that was done with minimum amount of effort and with as small team as possible.

It's what I'm most disappointed about honestly. In the original they were literal bobble heads and always making weird faces to the point of being ridiculous and silly. In this they just move their lips and blink. The dialogue is synced but I prefer seeing the silly expressions over just lip flaps. The icons feel so lifeless and boring now.

Heroes of the Storm uses much more modern game engine than this. Reforged is literally build on top of the same old Warcraft III engine from 2002. They did this in order to have the gameplay EXACTLY the same + that the custom maps that were done over the years would be compatible with Reforged. Those + cutting development costs were the main reasons this was not done with entirely new engine. And personally I dont think the graphics look that bad and the unit models actually look quite nice, but the problem is mainly with unit animations and that they went cheap with the cutscenes. If they had actually made the cutscenes like they originally planned in 2018 (check The Culling trailer) it would have not left such cheap feeling about this all. But unfortunately they had too small of a team and too tight schedule to pull it off...so ultimately the blame for that falls to management at Activision-Blizzard, cause they are the ones pulling the strings at Blizzard Entertainment.

I'm pretty sure that this line was in the very original - no retconning here - I'm sure, because mention of Deathwing was even in the very original Polish dub, 17 years ago. Cutting out mentions of Furion (he was called Malfurion starting from Frozen Throne onwards) on the other hand is a retcon - a sloppy one at that, because you can tell where his name was supposed to be - it was simply cut. Similar thing happened with Grom in the orc campaign - he was called Grommash only by Mannoroth ONCE in the whole campaign, everyone else simply called him Grom - but this shortened name got cut out with reforged.

In the cinematic where Archiemond kills one of his Doomguard because, well, he's a baddy and all... I don't think Archie has an attack animation. Just... turns and a burning rock shoots out of his belly. "Oh, they're defiling the forest. This angers me greatly. Grr. No really, I am mad. Grr. This writing is well done. Grr." Malfy: "Oh, these Outlanders might be useful in fighting the baddies!" Tyrande: "I'd rather die than work with them, they killed Cenarius, which was bad." Later. Malfy: "Oh, that's where my brother is locked up, the one who betrayed our entire race and ruined all our hard work. This is probably his fault now. Lets leave." Tyrande: "He sounds like he'd make a great ally!" ...They're both fools. What is that cyclone animation? Oh my goodness. Seriously though, why do they insist on imprisoning everyone with their weapons? Also... Illidan knows what a human is? Interesting, interesting. And that means, presumably, the others would know what humans are? And then those books... well, whatever. And he doesn't even really poke the Skull of Guldan shrine thing. You know, I'd have liked to see what everyone thought about the exhortations to join forces. I mean, it just cuts off after Meddy does his lil speech. Seriously. What does everyone have to say? Also, what ever happened to the loss of power and immortality that was supposed to happen to the Night Elves? They seem just as nature focused as ever. Do they mean... like what... hundreds of years? Also... Archie is a big old demon and he feels it makes sense to taunt Malfurion about using a mortal girl to fight for him? What? Really? He chooses to use an insult based on gender roles... despite that Night Elves seem to rely on their women to do most of the actual fighting anyway? While Malfy has been taking a nap? Archie doesn't know his foe very well at all. Gotta love how Archie seems to skate along when he moves. Malfurion is a master of stating the obvious.

The Night Elf storyline was always *exceptionally* poorly written. Tyrande the designated heroine attacked refugees without even the most basic attempt at diplomacy. Did no one tell her that a bunch of hulking red-skinned dudes killed Cenarius and these humans didn't fit that description? Did she not notice the descendants of the Highborn among them? Then she abruptly does a 180 and accepts their help without expressing any remorse for her monstrous acts. It's just awful.

Nah, I hope they don’t because I’ve watched this video somewhere regarding about the conditions on to those custom maps. Apparently if you made a custom maps on this game, Activision Blizzard will now have a claim on those said maps. It was written in, I guess, User Agreement or something so they will have a definite claim to it and you can do nothing about it. Now, imagine someone who made those Dota maps. There would be lawsuits of the ass. I think they did that deliberately because Dota was a missed opportunity to them. If you haven’t heard, when Dota 2 was being made, The “separate entity before the merge” Blizzard back then filed a lawsuit against Valve and I’ve heard they lost the case because the original creator of those Dota maps was in the court and took Valve’s side. Now, I suggest you ignore this game because it screams greed at this point.

The effects overall are soooo bad. Holy shit. Look at Illidans flame cloak or the tornado effects....holy fucking shit.
