Spiders have a 2 block wide hitbox, but cave spiders only have a 1 block wide hitbox. This is why the regular spider was phasing out of the cage but the cave spider does not.

2:30 I'm pretty sure this happened because the spider's hitbox is different from other entities. It is ~2x2 blocks wide if I remember correctly, and eggs don't let you spawn it in 1 block gaps. This is overseen, as you used a command to directly spawn the spider, causing the game to force the spider into one of the walls, allowing it to walk out. Hope this explains it well

For anyone suggesting that we need something to scare zombies/endermen: No, we don't. We lure them with villagers/endermites, anything beyond that would reduce the use cases for those game mechanics. I kind of wish they would have gotten a bit more creative with the spiders, though. Now we just have another mob that gets scared. It would have been way cooler if they got lured by movement within a cobweb or something. It's not that big of a deal, but as someone who enjoys the technical side of Minecraft, I wholeheartedly appreciate every bit of diversity in mob-behavior-manipulation we can get.

I think they need to add a unique animation to the armadillo where when it looks at you, it tilts its head in a way where you can see one of the eyes, making it accurate to real life and less weird like they wanted. You seemed a bit confused when the generic spider walked out of your glass box. Let me remind you that cave spiders have a 1x1x1 hitbox and regular spiders have a 2x2x1, meaning it spawned clipped into your 2x1x2 glass box, and if an entity is already inside of a block, the collisions between that block and the entity are disabled(plus a push force at the center of the block which is why items spit out of holes when you fill them in).

Liver fun fact: there is a tendon supporting the liver which passes underneath the center of it, but it is just a thread thick, so if one were to land from a sufficient height, it is possible for the liver to be sliced in half by your own tendon causing you to bleed out and die. Mojang removed livers because in some instances they are dangerous to your health.

The default spawn chunk radius being so high was quite bad for the game in my opinion. Caused basically an extra player's worth of lag at all times, in addition to making the passive mob cap always full unless you specifically killed and spawn-blocked your spawn chunks. Great change, and for the minority of servers who relied on it being 10 chunks you can still change it back. Another great carpet mod feature added to the game, thanks gnembon.
