I think part of why its sore, is that he is the last one. Like, it wouldve been fine, if you took min min, byleth, corrin, and threw them in the fucking trash, and in their place, you put either crash bandicoot or spyro, heavy from tf2 with gordon freeman as an assist trophy, and then a wildcard someone else could pick, considering i cant really think of anyone who sticks out immediately that deserves the slot. Idk master chief maybe, or scorpion from mk, but both of those feel too out of place. Basically to me at least part of the salt is that because this is the last slot, it was a bitter fight for it, especislly considering what most fans would call "wasted slots". Of course half of them are like how jigglypuff used to be, where it was a tie in potentially out of sakurai's control, but yea, in the end we have 89 characters, and we got motherfucking steve from minecraft. We have reached s point where any more character we want added are either too niche, or werent influential enough to warrent inclusion. My one gripe is that valve/tf2/hl2 deserves at least a nod for how much influence they had on games development

Pyra and Mythra are the 2 hottest characters in the game, and while they're a little ridiculously broken, they're fun to play, and I love them. Hell, they have jiggle physics, and it's truly wonderful. People are disappointed with sora because: 1. His moveset is as lazy, boring, and basic as you can possibly make a DLC character. Absolutely a snoozefest. 2. Because people wanted him for like.... 2 years, but he's finally here as the very last character? kind of insulting to the people who wanted him all this time. 3. Because Kingdom Farts is a game that stars disney characters. I like disney, but kingdom hearts is literally FF7R(an absolutely excellent game, borderline masterpiece), but cringey and for literal 2 year olds. Seriously, the only thing cringier than kingdom hearts is roblox. 4. His facial animations in the trailer look off. His mouth looks especially ugly. 5. Having someone like doomguy or the masterchief in the game would have added more variety than just "another sword character". Both of these characters are significantly more badass than a cringey kid from naruto.
