9:30 About it narratively making sense, in the world of Smash bros technically all the fighters aren't actually the fighters themselves but are toy versions instead. The lore hasn't been extremely expanded on, but I remember that it was brought up again in one of the directs before Ultimate came out as well.

Guys I'm telling you I am calling it now that handshake between Sora and Mario is historically fundamental. How many times has Disney allowed themselves to make a business deal with another franchise whether it is a movie producing company or a networking system or a streaming system or gaming system and then completely taken over it afterwards? It has got to happen Disney's going to end up taking over Smash altogether. Soccer I said it himself they couldn't get any special Disney song arrangements or self-made arrangements for the Kingdom hearts character this time around. Sora’s not an anime swordfighter, he’s an anime KEYBLADE fighter. A keyblade functions much more like a club. Sora doesn’t slice opponents to pieces, he just bashes their skulls in.

The handshake between Sora and Mario still makes me tear up, the very first welcoming the very last… it just hits a certain way, and it still doesn’t feel real! The Hollow Bastion stage is almost exactly what I always wanted, and it even transitions to Dive to the Heart, so we get multiple KH locations in one stage. The pallete swaps are also what I wanted, although I find Timeless River Sora being there rather strange and unexpected. Only problems I have are the moveset stuff. Boring counter down special. No Explosion for down smash. Having Trinity Limit with Riku and Kairi showing up to take the place of the Disney characters would have been better for a final smash than the door cinematic.

True, but the shit he had to do for 6 years to even get him, it would've probably been impossible for riku and Kari. Though, while the ultimate could've been better, I'm just glad he's finally here

Both as part of the stage`s "Dive to the Heart" background, and as new spirits. adding them to one move`s animation wouldn`t have costed anything, legally speaking. They probably wanted to avoid the move entirely because it directly refers to Donald and Goofy, thus it could have mixed reception even with Riku and Kairi in it.

I think it’d be cute, but I definitely think the final smash they went with is iconic. Trinity Limit is a move that exists, it looks cool, but it’s not the moment from KH1 where Sora seals a big door! Actually I thought the final smash would be the Keyhole sealing from KH2, since that one is super iconic, but having KH1’s makes more sense since it’s KH1 Sora

@@joeyjose727 also it's pretty in terms of ultimate itself, he sealed the door of the smash universe. There's no more characters left to be added so it's sora's job to seal the door for the other universes. Also the move looks so cool.

Spoilers that hasn’t played KHIII: So when Sora disappeared in KHIII, he just went to Smash. Smash is the world between worlds. That’s why we never got a third boss fight with Sephiroth or got to see Cloud because they’re there too. And now Mario’s a keyblade weilder.

Ultimate Form had no chance, Ultima Weapon, and Ultima Weapon Transformed are both LOOONG, but I could have seen Star Seeker on Valor or Wisdom and I guess Monochrome for Timeless River, since those aren't particularly different length(so adjusting to match the Kingdom Key wouldn't feel weird)

Something i realized way later is that when it starts panning iver the ntire rosters as statues the first one shown is zelda who is a princess of light and shulk who is a chosen one by essentially a magical weapon like a big ol hint to sora that went unseen at least for me.

i think this takes place when Sora goes to sleep at the end of Re:Chain of Memories. When Sora is flying over the water while asleep to repair his memories. Sora is holding the same pose while appearing through the keyhole during his reveal trailer. So I assume Sora is in a Sleeping World in the Smash Universe.

Hear me out, Melody of Memory introduced fictional worlds and Verum Rex was first shown as an in-universe video game. And now Sora is in probably the biggest gaming crossover of all time... I can't be the only one who thinks there is an actual chance (if a small one) that Nomura might go for it.

The fact that the KH games are cloud versions and not actual ports makes me sad. I know that KH3 is probably the one that is the most difficult to get running on switch, so I can understand 3 being a cloud version. But I think the switch can handle 1.5+2.5 and 2.8. But maybe I am wrong.

If they really needed to they could use the PS3 collections. Square Enix got the HD collection for Final Fantasy X/X-2 on Switch and it runs fine. Plus they have Final Fantasy XII, and both of these look and play fine. The Switch also has a good few other HD versions of PS2 games like Okami HD and Katamari Damacy REROLL. The Switch can easily handle upscaled PS2 stuff.

HD Remix unfortunately isn't simply PS2 Upscales, KH1FM in particular is notable in that its actually based on DDD's fuckin engine, since KH1FM's source was lost somewhere between pre-10's Game Devs not being as concerned with retaining old source code, and the multiple disasters Japan suffered in the time period FF10 and 12 also are not as action heavy in terms of like, actual gameplay, they look fancy, but its not the same as an Action RPG 2.8 also was pretty much fucked on entry even if they can/could manage 1.5/2.5 because of 0.2, aka "KH3 Engine Test, its Real Pretty Guys", which would probably be a lag monster Annnd there's the fact that most of those HD ports have lag issues of some kind on Switch, the Switch is not a particularly strong machine, Nintendo is just good at stretching their resources
