9:30 About it narratively making sense, in the world of Smash bros technically all the fighters aren't actually the fighters themselves but are toy versions instead. The lore hasn't been extremely expanded on, but I remember that it was brought up again in one of the directs before Ultimate came out as well.

Guys I'm telling you I am calling it now that handshake between Sora and Mario is historically fundamental. How many times has Disney allowed themselves to make a business deal with another franchise whether it is a movie producing company or a networking system or a streaming system or gaming system and then completely taken over it afterwards? Sora’s not an anime swordfighter, he’s an anime KEYBLADE fighter. A keyblade functions much more like a club. Sora doesn’t slice opponents to pieces, he just bashes their skulls in.

Spoilers that hasn’t played KHIII: So when Sora disappeared in KHIII, he just went to Smash. Smash is the world between worlds. That’s why we never got a third boss fight with Sephiroth or got to see Cloud because they’re there too. And now Mario’s a keyblade weilder.

The Hollow Bastion stage is almost exactly what I always wanted, and it even transitions to Dive to the Heart, so we get multiple KH locations in one stage. The pallete swaps are also what I wanted, although I find Timeless River Sora being there rather strange and unexpected. Only problems I have are the moveset stuff. Boring counter down special. No Explosion for down smash. Having Trinity Limit with Riku and Kairi showing up to take the place of the Disney characters would have been better for a final smash than the door cinematic.

Both as part of the stage`s "Dive to the Heart" background, and as new spirits. adding them to one move`s animation wouldn`t have costed anything, legally speaking. They probably wanted to avoid the move entirely because it directly refers to Donald and Goofy, thus it could have mixed reception even with Riku and Kairi in it.

I think it’d be cute, but I definitely think the final smash they went with is iconic. Trinity Limit is a move that exists, it looks cool, but it’s not the moment from KH1 where Sora seals a big door! Actually I thought the final smash would be the Keyhole sealing from KH2, since that one is super iconic, but having KH1’s makes more sense since it’s KH1 Sora

i think this takes place when Sora goes to sleep at the end of Re:Chain of Memories. When Sora is flying over the water while asleep to repair his memories. Sora is holding the same pose while appearing through the keyhole during his reveal trailer. So I assume Sora is in a Sleeping World in the Smash Universe.
