How Demon Slayer Handles the Shibuya Incident

Could the cast from Demon Slayer take on the Shibuya Incident arc of Jujutsu Kaisen? Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Hashira are fighting to unseal the Leader of the Demon Slayer Corps Kagaya Ubuyashiki from the Disaster Curses and Kenjaku. Along the way getting into major fights with Choso, Mahito, Dagon, Toji and others. But for characters like Megumi with Mahoraga, or Sukuna / Fake Geto, I agree that just their existence makes winning impossible for a lot of verses, because their hacks and general abilities would be hard to overcome.

Funny enough having shinobu fight the disease curse is the worst matchup for her. Shinobu accounts how she’s pretty weak physically compared to other slayers like said in the video, but Mei Mei was only able to escape the boulder because of her physical strength, even then she doesn’t think she can break through 5 before the disease kills her. He explains that Piercing Blood ONLY exceeds the speed of sound at the moment it’s compressed and released, meaning, given travel time, it could slow down greatly before hitting its required target. It was only after Nakime is killed that Muzan retreats from the castle as he can no longer control it. That already takes away the demon’s only glaring weakness, which is the sun. No JJK character, not even Sukuna, would have the capacity to kill them after that point. Muzan would quickly catch on to the strength of the JJK fighters, and would just have Nakime bury herself as far away as possible from the fight while controlling her, and therefore the castle. At no point could anyone even come close to taking the castle out of the equation as there is no CE to pick up on, and Muzan would just move Nakime the instant anyone came close. The video already determined that every character besides a select few can keep up with, let alone outclass DS speeds. The Upper Moons will just get their asses kicked over and over, or more likely just keep dodging and wearing everyone out until everyone burns out their CT, DE, and RCT and then boom. Game over. Edit: Hell, they could even just drop them all into the Infinity Castle and leave them trapped in there. With the Akaza, Douma, and Kokushibo

Great comparaison but DS are also very lethal when it comes to cutting power. For example, At the near end of Season 1 Tanjiro fought Rui a lower moon who had a neck tougher than steel and his strings at full strength being even tougher than that and Tanjiro being able to cut the strings but Giyuu easily cut off his neck and strings like it was nothing. And the power creep just goes up and up throughout the show. And that was just a Lower Moon now imagine the strongest Upper Moons and Muzan who are like hundreds of time stronger than LM and at the end of the show, most Hashira are able to cut off their limbs... So yeah DS are very lethal and rely more on Attack Potency than Destructive Capacity so they would have no problem at all dealing damage to JJK Socerers.

you have no idea about scaling don't you? this vid didin't recognize till the infinity castel video that demon slayer at bottom least scale to multi city block, and you can get them to city lvl with possible mountain lvl (via muzan shockwave feat of which it shook it's way till the ubuyashiki estate taking into account that between muzan and the estate a whole mountain as we've seen with nezuko), with the speed at bottom least is MHS+ via the lighting, both hantengu and kaigaku are positioned to have that due to hantengu already having stated to be real lighting and owning it's properties, while kaigaku has a databook statement for it being lighting, with zenitsu perception blitzing kaigaku who is lighting speed you can get the conclusion that zenitsu's KE as calculated is multi city block ignoring various other calculations and feats such as daki effortlessly destroying blocks of the entertaiment district which indeed contains concrete within them

I made a post about this on reddit using the fighters and supporters (Larue, Kirara, Ui Ui, Mei Mei and Miguel) in the Shinjuku Showdown versus all the Upper Moons (alive and dead) and Muzan. You obviously have control over the rules of this crossverse battle, so you can decide whether this setup is overkill or not. Nevertheless, it would be an interesting video for you to tackle.

I doubt that it would work like that, it was already stated that most, if not all humans (Excluding heavenly restriction users like Maki and Toji) have CE, so domains would work normally on the demon slayers. You could make an argument that Tanjiro's selfless state could make him imperceptible by some domains, but other than that, they would still get hit.

@@Dextellor No it’s not. In terms of speed/combat speed yes the Ds verse does stand a chance, but that’s literally the only category in which Ds characters can even compete in against Jjk. Yeah, nice attempt at a downplay. Sukuna was severely weakened when he faced Kusakabe, and Kusakabe was already explained to be a mega genius JJ sorcerer. They literally explained that Kusakabe rivaled Gojo in his ability to learn/evolve/understand Jj sorcery, not to mention the only reason Kusakabe lasted as long as he did was because he used multiple Jj techniques that increased his survivability and even used pseudo-domain on Sukuna to deal damage. On top of all of this recent chapters also confirm that Sukuna was holding back even when being jumped in Yuta’s domain, against Kashimo, Kusakabe etc. The only times Sukuna actually tried were when he was fighting Gojo and recently in the Manga when Sukuna realized his defeat was indeed a genuine possibly so Sukuna used Fuga to charcoal Choso. Using Kusakabe vs Sukuna as a downplay argument is quite literally an equivalence to me using Muzan vs Tanjiro as a way to downplay Muzan. We all know both Muzan and Sukuna were severely weakened by the time they fought Kusakabe/Tanjiro respectively.

Ok so i just had an idea for something you could do about a cast taking on the Shibuya Incident, and hear me out: Team Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho Since there aren't many characters i can think of that'd actually fit as replacements/equivalents for the JJK cast you could just put some of them that are close to the characters in certain fights like for example: Chu, Kurama, Kuwabara and eventually Hiei vs Dagon as an example And their whole goal would be to save Genkai after she is sealed into the Prison Realm, for this you could use the versions of these characters at the beginning of the Dark Tournament or even Spirit Detective saga selves since i'm pretty sure by these points they are at Large Building levels of strength but can react to light-speed attacks

Actually I think mahito vs tanjiro would be closer than that due to: First- Nezuko and (post dkt) tanjiro have both hosted a seperate being in their body, meaning they should be aware of their souls. Second- Tanjiro has the ability selfless state which is nearly identically described as being akin to tojis HR both completely erasing their presence and being able to avoid automatic detection attacks, meaning that tanjiro could avoid mahitos domain. I'm not gonna say that slayers definitely beat mahito, but i think they jave a couple of advantages that could maybe give them a win.

The first one might be a bit contentious since Choso and other resurrected sorcerers also host the souls of original bodies' owners in themselves. But Choso commented he couldn't see the soul at all because of how his soul being so dominant that it's basically put the original owner's soul to a deep sleep and can't be used to develop soul sense. So prolonged interactions between 2 souls in 1 body like Sukuna and Yuji can develop it. Now I'm not that far into Demon Slayer so it could be like that, but just hosting another soul isn't going to develop it. There's also the physical way to see a soul with similar description to transparent world however. So you could argue transparent world can be used to see the soul, or Tanjiro would know Mahito is moving his body's soul to protect it by the way he morphs.

I guess? even if Tanjiro is aware of his soul he doesn't have enough CE to protect it, nor does he have the AP to actually damage Mahito's soul enough to win.

If you gave Shinobu Kanao, they'd kill the Special grade the second Shinobu was trapped. If you're allowing them to kill Demons the same way Tanjiro can kill the grasshopper.

Okay, I want to say a few things for the Demon Slayers. First off, the fodder Slayers can all individually kill a Demon, and even Demons without Blood Demon Arts can one shot a normal person, putting them into Building level ranges already. And if this is the ICA and Final Battle versions of the Corps, then even the fodder Slayers can now survive against Lower Moon level Demons (we know this since Gyomei says all the normal Demons in the Infinity Castle are Lower moon level, and Rui alone can casually overpower Mount Natagumo arc Tanjiro and slice through his sword when the Kamado was using the strongest Water Brea Form, when a weaker Tanjiro’s basic swings can cut a large boulder in half without him realising it, which already was calculated at building level). As a result, we can easily say that the fodder can handle the transfigured humans and Curses up to Grade 1 on their own, at least in groups at worst. Now for the bigger hitters of the Corps, I will set a general scale for the Upper moons, and since we see how the Hashira and others like Tanjiro can fight them, I’ll let you decide how they all scale from there. To start off, with have Kaigaku. This guy’s Blood Demon Art produces actual lightning that causes cracks to appear on your body, and lightning alone can produce Multi-City Block levels of energy. And considering how lightning works, this means Demon Slayers around Zenitsu’s level can survive that level of AP to even their organs, and this is consistent with how a pre Final Selection Zenitsu survived a lightning bolt to the head (even his he was knocked out back then). Next, we have Gyutaro, whose destruction of the Entertainment District gets calculated up to Town level despite him having been decapitated by then, and it is kind of backed up by how the whole place was reduced to complete rubble as far as the eye can see, and those like Tengen could survive being right next to this attack, and was only at risk of dying from it because of poison. Next up is Zohakuten, who… honestly has an insane jump, as if you calculate his instant creation of his wooden dragon heads, that comes out to Mountain level as a casual feat, and regardless of if you think Mitsuri can win or not against the Upper 4 clone if he could die to decapitation, Hantengu specifically says that in order to fight her, Zohakuten had to take so much power from him that he lacked the strength to properly regenerate and kill an unconscious SSVA Tanjiro and Nezuko. So those you think are around Mitsuri’s level are around Mountain level and ambiguously above it. Next is Doma’s famous Buddha feat, which just based on its height for calculated at City Block level, but there are two things to factor that should make the proper scaling for this thing more consistent with the previous metas. 1, that calc doesn’t consider the width of the Ice Buddha and those flower things on it, and 2, that this was performed by a Doma whose body was literally breaking apart. So factor in its width and flower things to the calc and add even a simple 100x boost (as a safe lowball, given how badly damaged Doma was in that moment, and it should be safe to assume he experienced a drop in power similar to the power increase a Demon Slayer Mark should give) and that feat from at least a full powered Doma can get to Island level. And considering how Akaza is above Zohakuten and below Doma, he can potentially reach Island level as well, so those that can fight Akaza can be ambitiously around Island level. Next is speed and how we treat the Demon Slayers. Personally, I say that they should be treated in the same way as Toji and Maki in JJK, since their verse lacks an equivalent to Cursed energy and are from a different verse. This means that the sure hit effects of Domain Expansions won’t work on the Slayers, as the Domains will treat them like a building and there is no Cursed Energy for the Curses and Kenjaku to sense, making it harder for them all to react to a Slayer’s attacks and can easily lead to any of them being sneak attacked, and with the Corps’ notable fighters easily having lightning level speeds, they are blitzing everyone on the Curses’ side (except maybe Kenjaku if you think his physical speed is relative to Hakari’s lightning timer reaction speed, but I personally doubt this given how even Toji and Awakened Maki are, at best, just barely have enough speed to try and block a lightning attack. Meanwhile, here is Zenitsu, one of the weakest and slowest of the notable characters, possibly being lightning speed during the Drum Mansion arc and many characters being capable of blitzing this this and stronger forms of Zenitsu, Mitsuri being shown to dodge and intercept lightning attacks in Base and some other characters being able to react to attacks that blitz a stronger form of her, and Zenitsu arguably having his Seventh Form be a lightspeed attack if you consider a Fanbook statement). Oh, and one of the Villains’ characters is fighting weaker than in canon, since none of the Demon Slayers killed Choso’s Brothers, so he’ll be fighting even weaker than he was against Shibuya Yuji (plus, if the characters can fight through Muzan’s Cell destroying Poison, then can fight through Choso’s blood, especially with the Marks being heavily implied to increase a Demon Slayer’s recovery rate and increase their resistance to poison). So overall, the only real problems for the Demon Slayers would Kenjaku (depending on what scaling chains you believe for the Curse user) and Mahito since you need soul damage or something that completely destroys his body to kill him. But given how Mahito thought that fire could break down his body enough to effectively get a win, and the severe speed difference between him and the Demon Slayers, I would say that at worst, Mahito will effectively rage quit and leave, or a Demon Slayer may be capable of slicing apart Mahito’s body enough get a win similar to what Mechamaru was going for (plus, he’s very unlikely to touch a Demon Slayer with his palm, so he isn’t likely to mess with their souls. And given their stats advantage over him, if you think Maki and Toji could survive a few Idle Transfiguration attempts from Mahito that connect, I think some of the notable characters can as well. And who knows, Tanjiro may be safe from is if the Selfless State erasing his Battle Spirit in canon means that Mahito can’t see the shape of his soul). Just saw that DKT is getting involved here, so I’m just going to say that he easily dominates the Island level stuff I set for those that can scale to Akaza and Doma, especially since Human Tanjiro already scales to Akaza (ignoring who you think wins that fight). And this adds up with how DKT has all of Muzan’s blood in him, making the new Demon King already at the full power of healthy Muzan (who just by looking at Akaza in base, was causing the Upper 3 to bleed all over the ground) and is now amping up these Muzan level stats with Total Concentration Breathing Constant (which Tanjiro does subconsciously, so DKT likely hasn’t lost this), the Demon Slayer Mark (which is a 100x physical boost to a Demon Slayer if Tanjiro’s statement of needing a 100x his current strength to decapitate Gyutaro is taken at face value) and the Repetitive Action amp (which is comparable to a Total Concentration boost since that is how Genya in base fights against Demons). So DKT could realistically be in the Country levels of power, and if Muzan is in DKT, then he might be similar to Yuji and Sukuna at that point, so any risk of idle transfiguration from Mahito can be fought back against by Muzan and DKT could inflict Soul damage to Mahito (and if someone says DKT can’t use that since he’s mindless, Muzan would push DKT to using it if he figures it out and the whole thing is subconscious, as Yuji never learned that he was somehow attacking Mahito’s soul until maybe after Mahito died in the Manga. So DKT being mindless won’t stop him from inflicting Soul damage if he can do that).

See the thing ion get abt how ppl scale attack power is how big the attack is which ion think applies to ds they use swords anf by that logic someone like gyutaro who destroyed and entire city yet hes one of the weaker upper moons should be hit harder than akaza who never blew anything up can someone explain why it works here like i get it if they be destroying contenents but that just aint the case here

Actually a decent feat of power is at the end of the entertainment district arc when Gyutaro’s body detonates and destroys a large portion of the district. In the anime, it could be argued that the entire district was destroyed. Given the fact that the buildings back then probably aren’t as durable as the concrete buildings, I’d say it could put the characters on the lower end of city block levels of strength or durability.

Is that what he said about the JJK speed scaling because the whole lightning thing just made me upset a little bit you think about it they can’t move the way they can’t react or move because the lightning is literally attracted to them it’s going to move toward them or turn toward them anyway so even if they can or did it wouldn’t matter cause it’s gonna curve and hit them anyway

It was really fun to see this unique balance of the fight between absurd speed and absurd durability. I didn't feel like either anime was favored more than the other, which is nice! Even though I adore JJK far more than Demon Slayer, I just appreciated an unbiased review of both of them.
