Jazakallah khair There are a lot of info on Islamic medicine in a 4 volume book called طب الرسول المصطفي ص The way you narrated the narrations are called raw materials in Islamic medicine and they have to be analyzed and explained to determine who can follow which recommendations

My mom does it and if it's done well it's actually tasty, I personnally appreciate it a lot. Basically you have to mix the fine barley semolina with wheat flour, water, baker's yeast, olive oil, salt. Generally we stick to a 60/40 barley/wheat ratio but you can adjust it as you wish. It's also adviced to soak the barley in water before.

Have you tried to make barley bread? It doesnt really come together. I wonder how they made it in the past
